Unfortunately, it was changed into the "music" hall of fame many many years ago. It's always going to be about politics and money. At the very least........the very least, Jeff should be in it, as he was probably the most sought after session drummer throughout the late 70s into the mid 80s....and (in my opinion) created the "L.A." sound.

Toto should be in the RRHOF on three counts; as a group, as first call session musicians, and as pioneers in helping instrument manufacturers like Yamaha, Pearl, Paiste, Linn, etc. develop their products into producing the highly sophisticated sounds of the '80's and '90's. Conservatively they have been partly responsible for over $550m in worldwide sales for all their work, and they were more than "instrumental" in driving the production of the highest selling album of all time, Michael Jackson's "Thriller".

[Verse 1] Hands, don't let her go Cause then the midnight icy winds will blow Eyes, give every drop This ain't the way that should have made her stop Arms, just let her know No one fills the place she used to grow Smile, don't leave me now Cause you're the reason she's here anyhow [Pre-Chorus] Words be gentle when you speak into her heart Cause if it breaks, she may not come again [Chorus] I've been waitin' for your love And it's been here all the time, right in front of me I've been sitting, waiting for your love And all the time, it's been here, right in front of me [Verse 2] Look, forget your pride She might kiss as you're like even tide So, be in her heart Especially when we're apart Love, be by my side Cause if she leaves there ain't no place to hide Soul, be with her now Cause you're the first one she knew anyhow [Pre-Chorus] Words be gentle when you speak into her heart Cause if it breaks, she may not come again [Chorus] I've been waitin' for your love And it's been here, all the time, right in front of me I've been sitting, waiting for your love And all the time, it's been here, right in front of me [Synth Solo] [Pre-Chorus] Words be gentle when you speak into her heart Cause if it breaks, she may not come again [Chorus/Outro] I've been sitting, waiting for your love And all the time, it's been here, right in front of me Draw the line, I'll step across Even further, I give in, you got me I've been sitting, waiting for your love And all the time, it's been here, right in front of me, yeah Just separated by ten thousand miles You're not alone, girl, you got me Guess I needn't tell you that I'm not around I'm inside, you got me I've been waitin' for your love It's been here, all the time, right in front of me, yeah

@@avocados4all It was indeed on the Past To Present VHS, because it is where I first saw it after picking up a copy at Tower Records in the early 2000s.

@@patyjoy8857 While working on Thriller, Toto sent producer Quincy Jones a tape with David Paich songs and one Steve Porcaro song on the flipside. Quincy Jones only chose the Steve Porcaro song and let rewrite it by John Bettis. It was the song "Human Nature".
