Chavara Cultural Centre, Kozhikode has been initiated to kindle core values of love, compassion and concern culminating in general goodwill among the members of the community. The centre envisages a harmonious world that reflects amity and brotherhood, accentuated by cultural dialogues. It endeavours to promote meaningful engagement in the socio-political and cultural spheres in an attempt to counter the rising tide of communalism and religious polarisation. The centre has endeavoured to promote art, music, theatre, nature-friendly life, value education for children, women empowerment and national integration through various initiatives.
This novel rendition is a part of its on-going cultural activities, and aims to make poetry popular by taking it to the common man. This initiative presents a series of audios and videos on the spoken verse - poetry written and read by the poets themselves.
As the introductory series we present the poetry of Shri Kalpetta Narayanan, renowned novelist, poet, orator and teacher. Five poems of his, Nee, Nagnasathyam, Touchscreen, Solomon and Aashwasam are offered here for your enjoyment and reflection.
