honda Fit is a lightweight FF car. almost same weight as my Honda EK9. Lightweight is so important on TOUGE. There were so many fast touge driver with Fit in our country. sometimes I just got my ass kicked by some Fit driver. lol There is one thing that CVT always better than MT on TOUGE. you don't have to shift. you can always keep your rev high enough to maintain the HP. sometimes MT driver will hesitate about shift to the next gear or not...but CVT driver don't have this kind of issue. that's why there were so many kinds of final gears that you can choose.
@christopherjohnston6343

CVT 1.5 feels fast. Slow off the line but once they get going they feel quick through 30-80kms. Most of the "touge" people in my country still run old cars. Heaps of Mx5s, Civics and Integra's.

I piloted my mom's stock Honda Fit Sport 5MT on Sumitomo HTR A/S tires against my friend's BRZ with an ecu tune and full bolt-ons, full suspension upgrades, and wide Hankook RS3 tires. in the corners I managed to keep on his tail, but on straights he managed to outrun me a good amount. I usually touge a modified 2004 Sentra Spec V with coilovers and meaty tires, but since the car was down at the time, I had a chance to do a run with my mom's lil Fit Sport, and I'm ashamed but glad to admit it handles just as well as my modded Sentra. lol a stock Honda Fit handles amazingly well for what it is. change the brake fluid and pads and add 200tw tires of your choice and it's honestly a golden setup for an otherwise untouched car. those other mods you listed aren't necessary at all unless you want to hang with much faster cars.

Practice driving your Honda Fit stock on a road like the one in the video. Then start upgrading what you deem necessary. If you can keep up with many drivers in your stock form. There's really no need to upgrade because well what is the point if you're better than most of the drivers on your favorite road in the STREETS? Though if you want to upgrade your vehicle that much just go with stickier tires that is the same size as your stock tires, lighter rims that are the same size or 1 inch bigger than stock rims, grippier brake pads then finally if it is available to you adjustable shock absorber/ dampers like the ones Koni offers. Why don't I recommend coilovers? You are driving on the STREETS, not on the track and your car doesn't have the much adjustability in the suspension department to begin with. Depending on the generation of Fit you get. Just keep in mind you have MacPherson Struts in front and a twist beam in the rear. The rear suspension of the Fit is limiting. You can get shims to change the camber and toe you want in the rear but it won't be much. Also don't go for lowering springs, you'll be replacing your shock absorbers often. Remember this, you'll get better results with more seat time. So improve your driving skills before modifying anything on your car.

just a tip: the tach in the NAs is usually reads low by anywhere from 300 to 800 rpm up top. Can be useful to stretch 2nd between corners. Give it a run to limiter to see. also: "durable suspension geometry" im not sure thats the right choice of words... maybe "well engineered suspension geometry" or "well set up suspension geometry"
@RidgeChaser
6 жыл бұрын
Yeah I should've stretched it out more on the last downhill segment. I was using the term "durable" since this road tends to break peoples' eccentric bolts and other components during the harsh bumps 👍 Thanks for the input!

The day you take somebodies life whether that be a baby’s life, somebody’s grandmother, mom etc is the day you will realize how fucked up and how selfish this shit is. You have to be a huge narcissist to think this shit is okay and to not care at all. It might even be your own life, but of course that would be YOUR own fault. Have a heart and maybe be the least bit considerate towards others because if one day that roads isn’t 100% empty like you assume it is and you end up hitting somebody head on, you are screwed.

@@RidgeChaser That's so stupid I lost IQ just reading it and yet I'm not the least bit surprised. I think that's a lot of what the bicycle community doesn't understand about why drivers don't like them. It's not just because they "don't follow the law" or "are unpredictable". It's because they're EVERYWHERE AT ONCE, and so even when they're not around, we have to drive as if they are, because there might be one hiding around the next blind corner. Everywhere we go, everything we try to do, we're trapped in their prison of liability, with day-glo-yellow bars. Even on the freeway, I see people walking and biking. Good grief, is their some kind of secret hiker/biker conspiracy to take over every road in the known universe? It makes my teeth grind, I tell you.
