One of my absolute favourites because of its emotional gravity and their incredible vocal performances on this singularly gorgeous arrangement. 🌹🕊

It is definitely one of the most emotive ones I've heard yet, maybe (for me) only beat by creep.

This one gets me every time I hear it! 😢This is one of the few or only ones (AFAIK) that Layne is not beatboxing, but singing harmonies the whole way through - I absolutely love it! To hear more of EJ's golden voice, check out Voctave's cover of 'O Come All Ye Faithful'..!

Thank you. It was really beautiful. I had (have) some googlies left over after making some small mushroom companions, and thought “huh, that mic needs something” (the adhd mind does weird things)

I love EJ's voice, and I wish they EJ and Omar would to a colab together with Voiceplay. My favorite Voiceplay song would have to be: Can't Help Falling in Love. Geoff said that he cried the whole time editing this song. Hauntingly beautiful is what this song is.

@@ThalesMusicCorner They're larger and somewhat more choral (and more conventional in their arrangements) than VoicePlay, but also very talented. Their soprano-1 can induce feelings of inadequacy in a piccolo. I love their Great Movie Medley. They also did a pretty good collab with Rachel Potter on a couple of Halloween-themed Disney songs.

They did record an ending with all of them together on the back porch at sunset. It was gorgeous, but just didn't work. Also, did you notice that they were not looking at the camera/us? Except for one side-glance from Cesar.... EJ did Go The Distance with them, it is amazing!!

Yeah, I don't think I said it. But only pointed out their isolation in every scene. So powerful. They did the same in creep with never looking at us, it makes just that more emotional

@Thale EJ Cardona is a Founding Member of Voctave. I'm sure you've seen him in ALL of their videos. Also, he's Omar Cardona's Brother. Don't know who's older because the Internet sucks. If anyone knows, please link to proof. The only thing I can find on the Internet is Omar's info. There's, literally, nothing on EJ. My assumption is that EJ is the older brother because he gives off "Big Brother" vibes.

@@ThalesMusicCorner I also think EJ looks older. Do keep in mind, though, Omar is 33 so he's not THAT young. 😜 As far as Voctave goes, pick one, lol. You can't go wrong with any of their music. They have a lot of Disney Covers since they, kinda, work for Disney. Well most of them, anyway. Most of the members of Voctave are part of an A Capella Group called "Voices of Liberty" which performs, exclusively, at Disney World. So they are VERY familiar with Disney Music. Also, two of the guys have sung for Official Disney Stuff. So do keep in mind that Voctave are a part-time group as many of their Day Jobs are singing for Disney at Disney World. And, they have other gigs they do as well, professionally. Voctave is kinda the side gig they do for fun. To that end, they only produce a handful of songs/videos per year unlike other A Capella Groups that do this Full Time (literally every other A Capella Group you react to). Before I go into recommendations, there are some things you should know. Voctave is an 11 Member A Capella Group. That's right, ELEVEN Members. They cover the entire vocal range from Deep Bass to Coloratura Soprano. So they have a very full sound indeed. Also, they do not feature a Vocal Percussionist like most other A Capella Groups. With 11 people, though, they don't need one. The Arranger for all of their music is Jamey Ray. Yes he sings with them. He'll be the shorter guy that sings Tenor. His distinctive feature is that he only has one hand. He's a GENIUS arranger. I'm always a fan of starting from the beginning and working your way forward so you can see the progression of their skill, sound, and video production. To that end, one of the best places to start with Voctave is their first ever video (I think) called "Disney Love Medley." That features Kirstin Maldonado (of Pentatonix) and Jeremy Michael Lewis. This was way back before Kirstin got actual Vocal Training so she sounds rough, technique wise, but not overly terrible. And before any Kirstin/Pentatonix stans come after me, Kirstin herself admitted that doing the collab with Voctave opened her eyes to just how inexperienced she was and it made her realize that she did, in fact, need proper vocal training. Jeremy was her Fiance at the time. They called off the wedding and broke up shortly after they did that video. I'm sure you'll end up doing all the popular ones once you start since your fans WILL hound you for them, lol. There IS one I would recommend to you, just to put it on your radar as not a lot of reactors tend to react to it, at least not newer reactors of Voctave: "The Great Movie Medley." It is a tribute to John Williams, so if you are a fan of his music and the movies he has scored, that is a song/video not to be missed. Fun Fact: The Original Title of this song was something along the lines of "The John Williams Medley." John (or the people that run his "brand," I can't remember if it was him directly) wouldn't allow them to use his name so they had to change the title to "The Great Movie Medley." Lastly, they're also known for great Christmas Music. I'm sure you'll get around to them during the Christmas Season. The two you have to check out are "Where Are You Christmas?" and "Mary Did You Know?" "Where Are You Christmas?" was recorded during COVID so it was all shot in their homes. It WILL make you cry. Voctave's version of "Mary Did You Know?" is widely considered to be the "Definitive" Version of the song as they brought in Mark Lowry (pronounced Lao-Ree) as the Featured Soloist. Mark is the man who wrote and originally performed the song. His performance here will leave your jaw on the floor, guaranteed. Oh, also, they have all of their albums on KZitem so you'll find several Audio Only "Videos" on their Channel. Again, those are songs ripped from their albums. You can react to those if you want. Some of those songs they DID do Official Music Videos for so you'll find both the "Audio Only" Version and the "Music Video" version on their Channel. The most recent one, that you cannot miss, is "The Disney Heroes and Villains Medley." If you haven't noticed, they are a big fan of medleys. Anyhow, I'll end my "Voctave Primer" there. I don't want to overload you. I hope this gives you a good starting point and I look forward to your Voctave Reactions!

Thank you so much, I love this. The Christmas stuff I’ll definitely get to when we get there, and movie stuff can come fast. John Williams is on of a small handful of Hollywood composers I put way up there, so I’m really excited for that. ❤️ I probably will take your advice and start at the beginning, to get their progression. Again thank you so much for all this info, I love it. ❤️❤️
