Join us as we give you a tour of four Ceres HighYield™ Kit greenhouses at Lauritzen Botanical Gardens in Omaha, Nebraska. As Josh explains, these greenhouses will be production work horses - growing plants that will be used for various events or distributed out onto the grounds at a later point. While these greenhouses aren't open to the public, people will be able to walk up to the greenhouses and witness what is going on within, thanks to clear glass windows on the south sides of the two southern most structures. all right everybody welcome back it is August 28th 2023 summer is flying by I am back in Omaha Nebraska at lauritzen Gardens this is Omaha's Botanic Gardens and we've been working on this project for a while but this is a four greenhouse plus office shop situation it's going to be the guts of the gardens this is greenhouse number four right here it's the last one to be built so they're inside construction-ing away you can see Greenhouse three over here and then there are two more greenhouses in the Northwest side of the facility north of greenhouse three um this is a combination of two 30 foot by 98 foot greenhouses and two 30 foot by 147 foot greenhouses a few very cool things about this project first of all this was a big collaboration between series and Lauritzen we designed the greenhouses but Lauritzen did the layout and they did the connecting corridors and the centralized space and what we would call the head house shop um we normally do that in our projects but this was more custom and it worked out really well it's beautiful and highly functional The Growers are excited we're excited and so we could focus on just the greenhouses and the systems these are vented greenhouses all four of them they all have shade curtains energy curtains their exhaust fans insulated um intake louvers and high pressure fogging system throughout in a system or a facility like this with four greenhouses we can have one main pump and then four zones so we have one pump that drives the fogging system through the whole facility yet each Greenhouse can call for fog when it needs it while this is a production facility for laritzen which means it's not open to the public we did design it so that we can get the public as close as we can get to the greenhouses and so Greenhouse four and Greenhouse three as you can see here have glass facades along the South wall and they will be pouring a sidewalk that kind of goes along the edge of the greenhouses so that the people who are out in the gardens coming to visit can walk by the greenhouses see what's happening inside watch The Growers working inside so they can have a connection with how the plants are grown and then as they move out where they go into the into the gardens so two of the greenhouses are currently being used Greenhouse one is full of mums Greenhouse two has plants for this winter for Holiday festivals um and Greenhouse three which is that one there with a glass facade is taking plants either today or tomorrow and it's their rare plants and their orchids which people will be able to walk by and see and Greenhouse four as I said is still under construction and so that one will turn on probably in a few more months and then they'll clean up the construction site but this has been a really cool collaboration between Ceres and laritzen Gardens and we're very excited that it's coming close to an end to get these guys growing and really utilizing this new piece of equipment that they have
