In the US, we only had CBS's coverage with the heavy John Tesh influence. It's cool to see another angle. It's also interesting to reflect back on 7-Eleven's influence on this Tour. They were the only allies that Greg had aside from Bauer, Lammerts, Kathy, and a few others. Halcyon days, for sure.

I remember Liggett telling the anecdote afterwards, whereby his producer said in his ear as it happened, "next time, get it bloody right!". Get what right? The fact Liggett predicted the final winning margin for Lemond as 5 or 6 seconds, not 8!

That was the most magnificent display of professional cycling I’ve ever had the privilege of witnessing; even today, some 40 years after I first saw it. But what really impresses me the most about Greg Lemond though, is his integrity in standing up to that POS, Lance Armstrong and his relentless campaign of bullying before he was eventually exposed as the disgrace that he is.

@@notreally2406 Where are the ex teammates testifyiNG against Lemond? Making allegations in the newspaper? They don't exist because no one saw him use EPO or blood doping. Meanwhile, Lemond made those comments about Armstrong in 2001 because his ex-mechanic, who was still involved in cycling, told him how rife with EPO use cycling was in the mid 90's onward. Also, Lemond rode his bike like a human being. He had good days and bad days. He never looked a lab experiment/robot like your likely hero.
