Regarding having to waste water while waiting for the shower to heat up: one could always hold a little bucket under the shower head, collect the cold water, and use it for other uses later on (washing hands or dishes, put it in the cat’s water bowl, boil it and fill your water bottle, whatever). It’s a lovely little peanut….it suits you! 👍

Welcome to the Airstream club! I have the 20fb Caravel and live in it full time here in Texas. It’s perfect for me and my German Shepherd. Some of the 5th Wheel owners comment how small it is, but I think it’s perfect and don’t stress about hooking it up to my Tahoe and traveling. Like you, I am a single female so traveling small and simple with no stress is priority. I have the Weigh Safe weight distribution hitch installed and it has worked really well for me for over two years. The system allows you to see the actual weight on your hitch and its also really easy to level with the low Airstream hitch

10 years airstreaming 2 units....loved them. For cabinets using a magazine organizer box has a nice angle cut that works great on the curves of the cabinet boxes....and you sometimes can find them with labels on outside edge. Have fun in peanut. Also Jackson center factory saves you tons of headaches for getting peanut the way you want it. You can camp onsite and they will have you in and out and on your way. Peanut 🥜 is adorable!! Congratulations Robyn. We have a fifth wheel but I wanted a small camper to run around with while the fifth wheel is parked. After months of research I settled on the snoozie2 . I even drove to someone's house to tour one. I had dreams of setting it up as my own little she shed. Than I threw my back out. Now my back is very tender and easy to throw out again. On top of my other physical disabilities, I had that talk with the hubby which brought my balloon 🎈 back down to earth. There is no way I'd have the strength and with the vertigo issues be able to hook up and pull it without his help. So ..... I've switched gears and am now dreaming of a no build van build of which hubby is very excited to help me accomplish 😁.

We are going to take it out when the weather is a little better for our first time. We don't think going under a weather challenge for a first run is a great way to start off. We have an all electric fridge too and I plan to run it off battery while it's parked at home to see how long it can last. Run maybe the fan too for a little reality since the heater needs a fan and we want to be sure it won't kill the batteries too quickly.

I have a 13’ Scamp. I rely on my tow vehicle to stow some things.

Nice compact rig. Big change from the 5th wheel storage but you can store some things in your Jeep. I hope you love it!

Another thing we got is a portable 600 watt bluetti and plan on adding more solar panels on top of our truck shell.

Peanut is so cute!! We recently downsized to a smaller rv and are also having to adjust. Can’t wait to see where you go!

Wicked cute!! I am thinking, just thinking, about a 17' Cortes because it is seemless, efficient and not more than I need.

When I 1st started looking at being a nomad I was looking at the Airstream 16ft Bambi. I loved the back where you could store your laundry...LOL. I have taken all the things I have loved with all the rigs I have considered and built my own Cargo Trailer Conversion-Jet Girl. She is a 5X10 that I can stand in (barely). I have a galley kitchen in the back, removable wood burning stove, poor man's composting toilet, a bed I get the best night's sleep in, plenty of storage for all my hobbies, 200w solar with a 100Ah LiFePO4 battery, and clearance where I can go anywhere with my 4Runner pulling...and I love it! Best part is if something goes awry mechanically I know how to fix it. You were a huge inspiration to me when I was first thinking of being a nomad...and you still are. Hope to see you on the road sometime 🤗 P.S. I grew up in New Mexico-truly The Land of Enchantment!

Nice camper!!! we thought about Airstream on our latest cross country trip that brand was the most common hands down. We are partial to fiberglass, we have owned 3 Scamps (13,16 and 19') and a Casita and we love our Oliver Elite 2, 23.5 feet twin beds 4 season fully enclosed and we have gone boondocking for many days over the winter without fail,(450w of solar)we bought it used no regrets here.
