I was born in Tampa in 52 & grew up in Melbourne - as a kid we toured all over FL - I remember well the new subdivisions, new schools, shopping, white sand beaches & concrete block houses with terrazzo floors - and Charlie Brown lived across the street ... thx for the memories!

Yes you could definitely tell that actor and sports announcer Bill Stern was speaking from a script and certainly not from the area very funny

There are NO "real" expressways in Cape Coral now. Maybe in 1959 when no one lived here.

At one time there was a plan to send i-75 down burnt store road and veterans across a bridge to fort Myers and then continue South

My parents lived in Miami from the late 1940s till 1977. I miss "old" Florida, it was ruined decades ago in my opinion.
