Ooohh yeah, I've been waiting for videos about books from your shelf !

@@MathematicalToolbox "Mathematics of Finance", I like books related to the random walks and chaos control in general.

Chapter 1 of the Financial Mathematics book looks intriguing. The Euclidean geometry book looks like it gets interesting near the end with a chapter on inversions. The functional analytic techniques book is thick! It looks like you know that stochastic calculus book well. Interesting flying saucer (figure 1.2.4) in the Edwards & Penny diffy eqs book. I like the look of the book. It looks like a nice sequel to their Calculus book.

Thank you so much for the comment, sir! I am thankful for your time. I haven't checked out the E&P calculus book. Did you use it when you took the course? Making and editing this video actually got me interested in checking out some more ODE and Calculus books.

@@MathematicalToolbox Yes, I used the Edwards and Penny calculus book in probably 2 or 3 courses. We were on quarters at the time when I was working on my undergrad.

I'm interested to hear your thoughts on Edwards & Penny's diff eqs as I have the 4th edition of this book. This book is widely available on the used book market and relative inexpensive (especially older editions like mine). Student solution manuals aren't hard to find. Despite all that, you're the first KZitem mathematician to talk about it. I'm interested in hearing your point of view especially since you're so brutally honest about Boyce & DiPrima.

Now I remember that it was you that mentioned it to me through email! I remember someone requesting it, but just not who. 😁 I look forward to talking about it. I am gonna take a peek at the most current edition too to see what exactly has been added. I need to check out the Logan book on ODEs, too, now that I remember. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

@MathematicalToolbox Not a problem. And thanks for taking the time and resources to review it as well as the books from other areas of math. I've had more of an interest in science. Never interested in finance or economics, but the book on mathematical finance you paged through actually looks a bit interesting. I'm actually looking forward to an in depth review of that as well. Thanks for broadening my horizons a bit.

You're very welcome. I relate to some degree, but my interests lie in mathematical . Which sciences in particular are of interest to you? Are there any nice introductions similar to the finance book? I love that the finance book is on the shorter side and is very intuitive. There are a lot of books that do a similar thing, but not in a concise way. I would love to do a full video. It could be my excuse to dedicate some time to it! 😁

@@MathematicalToolbox I'm with you; my interests are strongly focused toward mathematics. It helps sell me on a STEM book if mathematics is in the title.
