Amazing the planning and now the building of such a vast project. I used to travel that network from Dandenong, hoping that the travel time will be improved once completed

Great feed, I am a little surprised by the length of time to test the tunnel attributes, well done workers

What are you doing to minimise noise and I ration from the underground trains to the surrounding houses? Are you using rubber under the tracks as in the older Melbourne underground city loop? Do you have back up power to drive the flood gates and pumps in case of a general power failure in a major storm event?

Might be better to turn off the automatic background noise removal. Better to hear the trains they’re referring to rather than garbled audio that remains after the computer removes the train noise. Awesome content to see. CRL could learn a thing or two from your project

Great to see a good KZitem / social media presence, helps spread insight on the projects

Use headset microphones instead of a standard microphone. The graphics were jumpy too. Otherwise, great stuff.

8:30 The talk of potential flooding in the tunnel is timely. This video was recorded on March 9, 2021, just two weeks before widespread flooding in the plains of outer western Sydney. Melbourne does experience flash-flooding events, though they're much more localised, and doesn't see the sorts of dramatic water level rises (often above 10 metres) that Sydney experiences with the Nepean and Hawkesbury rivers. In a regular flash flood I expect the Melbourne Metro Tunnel would be fairly safe, just like the City Loop tunnels.

Love the project, hate that there's no actual way to enter it from South Yarra. I would take it every weekend if I could to Anzac station. And you know you're going to build it 20 years later for billions more.
