I met Jerry back in the 70s when I was being deployed to Korea. Him and another guy were sitting in the San Francisco Airport bar, and being a fan I introduced myself and stuck out my hand for a shake. Every time they showed a picture that said, "Back in the day" it looked so much more stylish than the empty cold looking remodel. The kitchen and dining room had a lot more classy, stylish appearance before the remodel than after. They should have kept the house looking as close to original as possible with all the different colors and everything. It was way more stylish and classier looking in the old photos. That is the reason for keeping those old celebrity homes around isn't it? The interiors of celebrity homes should be kept as close to original condition as possible.

Over years, I learned that Mr. Lewis did not treat other people with respect. In short, it was reported he was nasty, arrogant and a horses' ass. Throughout my life, I learned that the true character of a person can best be found in the manner people treat one another, especially those who lack supposed power, money or influence. As a retired airline captain and VP, I always made a special effort to treat hotel maids, servers, and mechanics with dignity, integrity, appreciation and respect. Like my late grandfather who was a business pioneer in Las Vegas, he used to tell us, Always treat people on the way up with respect, as most likely you will see them again on the way back.

By all accounts the rat pack did not hang out in that house. Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis weren’t speaking at that time in the 1960’s and they had very little interaction until 1976 when Sinatra did that reunion on the MDA Telethon. Sinatra and Sammy Davis, Jr. really didn’t hang out with Jerry Lewis and I doubt they both went to that house when Sinatra had giant suites at the hotels he was performing in. That house has had several changes over the years, but I will admit it has some unique history to it.

On the bathroom patio, I would definitely add lots of pots of trees, plants, and vines. A fountain and some outdoor lighting, maybe a Jacuzzi, would really be wonderful!! The floorplan doesn't make good sense to me. I do like the little bar area and the property the house sits on. That's about it. I could only imagine a Jerry Lewis fan being interested in owning this home.

My favorite part is the AMAZING petrified wood fireplace. Would love to know where and HOW he got that. The property has no curb appeal in the front and the backyard views are zero. It is probably very noisy with traffic. I wouldn't buy it. I would just KEEP the petrified wood!!

The patio off of the master bathroom was a private place to sunbathe without prying telescopes. You need to update your selling skills. This house is a good representation of mid-century modern design. Some of the remodels were poorly done.

I love the swimming pool. My boyfriend, who was a stone mason, built a swimming pool with a stone slide in North Carolina. I would lie and say that it was influenced by Jerry's pool but the internet wasn't that great back then.

You can't expect a 60's house to be modern, I think it's gorgeuos

Jerry showed off this house a few years before he died.I think it was the TV show 20/20....I still remember all the red carpet that stood out. The living room area is really nice, I would decorate in mid century modern furniture, get rid of all the mirrors, paint the outside brick, I hate red 🧱 brick. The Casita I would make it a theatre room and keep as an office.

Back in the day, he would practice his comedy routine in front of those mirrors. Plus, mirrors were great for “romper rooms 😉”

I like the way it looked before the remodel as far as the real wood cabinets and panels. I didn't catch weather the kitchen and adjacent room was already open concept or not before, but I I like it open. If I could afford to buy this home I would make some changes to the upstairs bathrooms and closets. I would turn one of the rooms into theater room with part of it in honor of Jerry and his movies. I would love to furnish each room according to what I want each room to be. ❤ And yes I can't forget the outside, endless possibilities.

The population was more like 10,000 at the most, and it was just "The Strip," no huge hotels or casinos. All there was in bigger hotels was the Flamingo and Sands. Population now 2 million.

I used to live by Sigfried and Roy's home off Vegas Dr/ Vegas Valley across from the golf course. I would see Sigfried on my walks most days. I know they sold the property across the alley in 2018 or so. My realtor Jillian Batchelor had that listing.

I love this house , old houses are built with the best materials, the new houses are built very cheaply, if I could afford it I would keep it the same way Jerry had it. ❤❤❤

To start off , I imagine that 2nd floor outside area was for sun bathing . Nude or otherwise . Lastly , HTF were those useless mirrors ok'd ?!? And they should have left it ALL original !!!!

It would look better with the red carpet. A big room like that needs a strong colour on the floor. It looks nice, but not a great location.

The kitchen is "the nice" area of the house? 🤔 Uhh, no. Its the fireside! 🔥 I would rip out the ugly, stark kitchen.

Can actually see this house exactly as it looked in 1958 on a KZitem channel called “givethechanceakid” …… where Jerry Lewis and his family are interviewed in the home by Ed Morrow.

There is a house in England built about 900 years ago, and you guys this this an 'old home'! This house seems rather cold, more like a public building or lodge. Jerry was world famous so he could have parties to match the house size. Not sure what someone would do with it now. THOUGH, it would make a good Jerry Lewis museum! And I don't think Dean Martin was there much.

Warwick Castle 956 years old. What a beauty that is. This home is nothing, especially with the shiny white and beige nonsense. Just a large home. Blah, a complete nothing.

Classic materials are beautiful and timeless, why do you think they are so expensive, who the hell cares if it was last seen on the cover of a magazine 3 years ago.

The snobby money hungry realtors care. They want everything sterile white and beige. Makes the rooms look bigger... Jetks.

It's a shame because every sentence was "eww wood, eww color, eww a hallway", he couldn't just tell the story of Jerry's life in that house. They should have put a different title like: "Realtor tours Jerry Lewis' outdated Las Vegas mansion".
