Thanks for doing this! I'm a 1st generation born Haitian American and I think it's great you're highlighting the rich Haitian culture in Miami. Thumbs up! 👍🏿

Sorry to get back to you so late...I hardly ever get comments so I rarely check. My wife and I really liked our tour of Little Haiti and were surprised by the warmth and generosity of our tour guide and owners of the shops we visited. I've recommended the tour to many of our friends!

Thanks for the video! It seems like the Haitian community in Miami is more rich and lively than the ones here in NJ/NY.

Thanks for your comment. I don't know much about the Haitian community in NY/NJ. Do they have a little Haiti section in NYC? If so, we'll have to cover it later this year when we're in NYC. More videos are coming soon. Thanks for subscribing!

Thank you for sharing a tour of Little Haiti! 🙂🇭🇹 I've been to Little Haiti twice. The first time I went in 2016, I saw all of those street murals, and bookstore, but I couldn't find it the second time, which was last summer. The area I took my Uber to was pretty deserted, I chose it by random on a map lol. Can you please tell me what cross section those sights were on as well as the Toussaint statue? I was very disappointed to not find any of those things.

We were last there in 2020, and we were told that there were some new buildings and development about to take place in the area. We've have since heard that some of the Little Haiti area has disappeared because of the commercial development of the area and we were saddened too hear that. We will try to go back there this coming summer (we're now videoing overseas in Thailand). The Toussaint statue was pretty hard to find. It was a few blocks from where we videoed most of our trip and you will have to google it when you're in the area in order to find it. We're sure it's still there. Good luck and thanks for watching! When we were there we just got in line by the side of the road after we arrived and joined the tour (it was either free or very cheap). We’ve heard that Little Haiti has downsized since we were there, so things may be different now. We really enjoyed it…hope you will too! Gar and Ann

Little Haiti is being downsized a bit, but definitely not disappearing.
