Amazing. I used to sit in the library at Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn during my lunch hour as a student just reading about the wonderful history of New York City. I cannot get enough of it. Now I live in Arizona and most people "Out West" have no idea of the country life of New York City. Thank you, Tourist in Our town Town.

Well done Peg. This is such a remarkable example of this period. As a real estate broker, I see the majority of buyers looking for historic properties, rather than new. It is so important to preserve our historic architecture, because it is tells our story as a nation.

It's Amazing how the concrete jungle was simply built all the way around it, while it will forever remain in history time stood still on the street corner of America's most loved city .

Paint that thing! You can do better City of New York! The family restored it for you. The city just wants profits. Pay 6 New Yorkers for a week to paint it. Or two guys from anywhere else a day. Get a good coat of oil base on that wood.
