As part of these new developments, a new bus interchange or transport interchange will be built and some late 18th century industrial buildings next to the viaduct are to be renovated and turned into apartments. But the downside is the construction of a new residential block directly in front of the viaduct. The block is approximately double the height of the viaduct. Does it mean that heritage will be destroyed? No, but it will be significantly damaged. The viaduct is a personal icon of mine. It appears in my cover art. It is a symbol of Stockport. There is a petition that has been signed by more than a few thousand people. Please watch and sign the petition. you.38degrees.org.uk/petition...
