Oats are also sprayed with glyphosate (RoundUp) within a week of harvesting. This is called Desiccation; it kills the oats while it is standing up so it dries faster and can be cut and put in the harvesting equipment in one step. Farmers used to cut it and let it lay in the field until it dried and then sweep it into the harvesting equipment. This took longer and sometimes the crop was rained on and got moldy. Even organic brands were found to have a lot of glyphosate according to the EWG. Oats also are high in phytates, the storage form of phosphorous in seeds ( including seed heads of oats and wheat), bran, and legumes. Phytates are considered an anti-nutrient as they bind with calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium, and protein making them unable to be absorbed by our bodies. You would need to cook oats for 3 hours to decrease the phytates significantly. Sprouted oats have 80% less phytates. Oats and whole wheat was partially responsible for the chronic anemia I had for decades. The rest was from the oxalates in the tea, spinach, whole wheat, sweet potatoes, chocolate, and vitamin C supplements. Oxalates also bind minerals and form crystals throughout the body, causing pain, inflammation, and sometimes urinary stones. I avoid grains and high oxalate foods and now am no longer anemic, and fibromyalgia, arthritis, trigger fingers, and bladder pain is gone.

Very good report. The keto (ketogenic), ketovore, and carnivore diets are the best ones. An exception for me is buying and ‘freezing’ an Ezekiel type bread made with sprouted grains and non glyphosate certified, called Silver Hills Bakery, sprouted power. It is important to ‘freeze’ any bread before eating it (very lightly thawing it out in a toaster) to convert it to a much healthier ‘Resistant Starch’ (Retrogradation).

Thanks for this very vital information. I was told thar oats raise glucose levels and stopped eating organic steel cut oats. Anyone else heard this?
@lindabirmingham603
28 күн бұрын
All carbohydrates raise blood glucose levels. Starch is nothing but glucose strung together in a chain. As soon as you chew grains or starch it is broken down into glucose in your mouth by an enzyme called amylase. The glucose goes from your stomach into the small intestine, then the liver and out into the bloodstream. The body wants the blood to only have 4 teaspoons of glucose in it (fasting level) and quickly tries to remove it by releasing insulin to get it into the cells. Excess glucose is converted into a storage form ( glycogen) or fat by the liver. Of course, sugary foods and fruit also raise the blood glucose. Proteins and fat do not, unless you eat well over a pound of protein. Excess protein can be converted into some glucose, but most protein is used to make and repair body structures and enzymes. Carbohydrates bound to fiber (vegetables )also raise glucose levels, but more slowly. Modern fruit has been hybridized to be sugar bombs, so also raise glucose levels rather quickly. If you want to keep blood sugar levels stable, eat mostly meat, eggs, butter, whole milk unsweetened dairy, and some veg. Works for me....

I always check where supermarket foods are grown. So much of it is imported these days. The trouble is food can be grown in China, transported in bulk to a second country, and packaged in another country and labled that it is a product of that packaging country. This may be partly overcome by finding out what country they crops are grown and then follow that lead. e.g. a country that is too small to grow the quantities of a food they are labeling at their product.

Shrinkflation has been around for at least a decade! I don't when the term started being used! There are basically two ways to raise prices. One is charge more. Once prices are high enough, people will either stop buying an item or buy it less often. The second way is to shrink the size of a product. This is easy to do with food products. It's done in a number of different ways One is to take an ounce or two out. Most people won't recognize the difference at first. The other is to change the shape of the container & take out more product. I remember the 1st time that happened in the grocery store I worked at. A cashier had gone back to check the price on a half gallon of ice cream which was on sale & a customer had a coupon for it. The cashier had sent several other employees to the shelf before calling me. According to the shelf tag & the coupon, it was the right brand & size of container. I was called to investigate. I admit it took me about 5 minutes to figure it out. Everyone was right. The coupon matched the tag and the right brand of ice cream. I noticed that some of the containers were no longer round, but an oval shape. How odd! When I looked at the ounces in the new oval container, it wasn't half a gallon. It was only a quart & a half! I told the checker. She called rhe manager. He gave the customer the ice cream for free. Two customers behind her had the same coupon. The manager gave each of them one (of the two thet were buying) for free, for waiting! This was the 1st time I had seen shrinkflation! Since then, I see it all the time!

Water… Lots of good water. Our bodies made up mostly of water, it’s called the ocean within. And buy some good sea salt put a little bit of sea salt in the water and it will revitalize her body with the minerals that you can’t get in regular table salt. Look up Dr. Barbara O’Neill, salt and water.. also, she teaches about the gut and how it works… She’s an excellent teacher❣️Lord bless you and your little one.

To keep you sick, so they can make more money. Pray over your food, and try to eat what is healthy anything processed is not really good. Eat only fruits, veggies, legumes, grass fed meat, and nuts and seeds. God bless

well, i stopped eating processed food in the early 80's and am growing most of my food for the past 20yrs. food companies and industrial farmers put so much garbage in their "food". oat is very easy to grow and you can graze on them when they are in the milk stage too. get rid of your grass and plant your own food 🙂
