I've been on the hunt all morning trying to verify something, seeing it live in this video helps a lot. I read on a post on the 4Runner forum that that hose from the top of the OEM FPR is supposed to vent to the air intake box for "fresh air" for the "air fuel assist". There is something like that on the T100's but I know full well any rubber line that isn't fuel hose on a FPR is supposed to go to vacuum. After looking at diagrams and even the FSM doesn't show its precise location I finally find someone with it hooked up to a vac port and not venting from the air intake. It makes no sense to connect a hose to an FPR to open air and not vacuum, I just wanted to make sure Toyota wasn't doing something beyond my understanding, because at best that could only give air to the fuel returning to the fuel tank which makes no sense. Thank you for having it hooked up correctly to relieve my doubts. I was very hesitant to hook that up to a vacuum source in case it WAS sucking air into the fuel stream, because in vacuum air would be sucked OUT of it into the intake manifold if it did what these guys said it did on the forum. It says "vacuum sensing hose" in the FSM and that's as close as you get to identifying if it goes straight to manifold vacuum or something else. It appears no one has ever had this thing hooked up correctly in every picture I've seen so far. I also just realized they show that when testing for FPR readings the hose is intentionally plugged, I should have known that was to prevent a vacuum leak.

I did this same thing on my 91’ 4rn from the tank with -6 line an put a cleanable filter in the outside of the frame rail cause that filter was a nightmare to change out and I bypass the regulator on the back of the rail with banjo connection to and a male -6an line from the tank and I picked up a good amount of power along with bigger 6 hole injector! But I’m doing something similar on my 96’ 3.4l right now and found this so I’m glad someone else has figured out it’s not very hard to get more fuel in also add 10mm plug wires a better ignition system and cold air and you have made a great engine way better and stronger. Keep on wrenching!

nice, front fuel rails line conection sould have been left stock...it's a solid pipe connection = no need to replace .

found this video while looking for info on how to pump fuel out of vehicle. I want to be able to easily pump fuel out for second vehicle. plan is to disconnect pressure regulator, connect hose to fuel rail, discharge to a jerry can, bypass the fuel pump relay. _should_ be doable and a useful rescue tool for remote area travel.

I have used this setup to drain my fuel tank for a fuel pump install it was very handy. Also thit kit has been useful for servicing the injectors because it separates the two fuel rails.

Bro dude! Nice im looking to do the same and that's a great idea to drill and tap the existing piece like you did. I'm hoping to find some adapters. I know they make efi to -an fuel fittings. My question is.... are our fuel fittings actually conventional efi fittings or is there another type of fitting I should be looking at. Cuz they do barbed and orb blah blah.

Mine definitely isn't supercharged but I like the idea of this & I need to replace my fuel pressure regulator. Can you tell me where you got everything? About how much did this cost you? Considering making this and doing a seafoam clean on Saturday...

sweet stuff im kinda looking into doing the same thing WAIT a min is the factory fuel pressure regulator still in place ? is that an FMU (rising rate fuel pressure regulator with above than normal pressure fuel hoses ...? ) if it is what i think it is ...then i think a turbo or supercharger is on its way in ....right ? how much boost you wana run and what will you do about timing control for boost ?

Wait! You connect the booster hose directly to the Throttle body? I mean the default pipe connection still open? ( the one blue color i think.) I need to do somthing like that to my Dorse! Yep!

I have a 3.4 supercharged motor in my 93 truck, runs ok up until about 4k rpms, then acts like it’s on a rev limiter. It’s obd1 and I can’t get it to read me the codes. I think it’s a fuel issue, but it has me stumped

I have a 1999 4runner 3.4 supercharger not rev pass 3000rpms, new tps, mass, remove cat, reset computer. I think it's a fuel issue too.

Supercharged 5vz with bone stock fuel delivery is no bueno. You need extra fuel with all that extra air. If its a 93 truck that must mean its a swap ? If so did the right fuel pump get added for the bigger engine ?

Yes it does make a big difference. It is DEI gold heat tape. Stay away from the China stuff.

It only allows to increase fuel pressure not decrease. The stock fuel regulator is still there so the pressure will not drop below stock.

Why? It wont run right then, they already have shitty pressure to begin with.. like it took me 15 mins to fill up a 5 gallon can stock from the fuel pump.. i pee faster than the truck does,.

It allows you to turn up the fuel pressure which will richen the air fuel ratio. Its handy when its Supercharged in the future.

@@DUNEBASHING that makes sense Ive tried to run a 2.2 pulley with my 7th injector setup and it seems to be starving for fuel sometimes and no matter how low or high the revs are getting into 4th gear it still acts like its starving for fuel or blowing out the spark but it runs fine with the 2.3 pulley but is getting boring to me. so if I up the fuelpressure with that regulator It mighy work? I was leaning towards methanol water injection
