My guy! This one video saved me from three weeks of frustration working on my car. I was putting the seal all the way in, and it kept leaking. Thanks to you, the problem is solved!

Hey man thank you so much for the comment and glad I could help!! I actually made the same mistake which is why i made this video!! 😂 we live and learn!! No idea why engineers even let you push it in all the way.

I find it helpful to find a large socket that's slightly smaller than the seal and use that and a small hammer to tap it in. That way it's getting pressure all the way around the outside.

True you can do it that way but I wouldn’t in this application because you risk the chance of pushing the seal too far in. It has to be flush with the trans

Hi, do you know if Avensis t25 from 2004 has the same technique for installing these seals? I'm replacing them today and I'd like to not redo it next month... :)

Hi, how many seals would I need if I'm swapping over a drive shaft/axel shaft..I see that 1 in the video but is there a 2nd one? I'm sure there is..and if so I believe it doesn't look the same as this one we see here, it's slightly smaller I believe..is that correct?

I don’t know or have heard of any other axle seal. If you are replacing a axle shaft the only seal is this one where the axle goes into the transaxle. There is a 2nd one on the passenger side obviously. So driver and passenger axles each have a seal.
