The ct15b on the 4th gen 3sgte is actually rather small compared to the previous ct series turbos etc ct20b on the 3rd gen 3sgte in a Celica GT4. To get a proper feel for a Caldina you will have to drive manual GT-T. I have one, just hellishly more modifications than just a CAI.

@@phatness5 cheers, to answer your second question yes the tsx lights are interchangeable. The first question is a tricky one and depends on whether you are getting an auto or a manual. If you get an auto, both will be pretty similar. Both have the same power both look great both have great sounding engines both have 5 speed transmissions with tiptronic. The accord will probably be more reliable though. If you get a manual it depends what you want to do with it. The BMW will naturally be more fun and do more skids but the engine has little tuning capabilities. The Accord by comparison might not be quite as fun as it's front wheel drive however you will be able to make it much faster, much easier. If you were talking manual 325i vs manual accord it's up to you, if you're talking auto vs auto id get the accord
@phatness5

@@KiwiCarLife Awesome! I've found some mad lights on the interwebs for the TSX, and I figured they'd be the same housing, but just wanted to be certain. I'm assuming headlights are the same, minus the difference between the dip on LHD lights being the opposite side, right? Both examples are auto. The Honda also comes with a sunroof, so I was half leaning towards that. It has over 200,000 k's though, whereas the Beemer has 120 XXX.

I got both in stock & Auto, same colour too lol. In terms of cornering, GT4 N can get around same corner dry or wet without losing even GT4 with a stock 215 vs 225 tyres and 100kg heavier. Both get understeers according to OME's setting, but you can malipulate the toe out and tyre pressure to balance the car to your driving style. I can induce understeers into a corner with CL9 easily but GT4 needs more work. Saying that I can control and hold drift with GT4 when practice on a wet skitpan. Acceleration GT4 should be a bit faster, all depends on the gearing, the 4 tall gearing in GT4 is a problem.

Didn't even knew this car existed. Checked and it's because it was never sold here in Northern Europe. And yeah, I think most people dont understand how important suspension geometry is. And all these modern sportscars with mcpherson struts can throw all the fancy damping electronics at it all they want, it will wash out eventually due to camber angles. These older honda's have grip for days due to the double-wishbone setup if you fit them with less washy coilovers and a set of decent tyres.
@KiwiCarLife
3 жыл бұрын
Yeah agreed... pretty sure the caldina has strut and multi link. Combine that with average tyres, lsd in the rear, and a front biased drivetrain, it's a recipe for understeer haha

3 жыл бұрын
@@KiwiCarLife Just checked, it does have strut front, multi rear. So do 99% of all "sports cars" these days. They just upsell you expensive driving aids, in favor of just simple mechanical grip. Including Honda with their FK8. They either incompetently, or maliciously, forgot how to make competent yet simple fun cars. Which is why their older cars are becoming ridiculously expensive used. S2000 is probably going to be over MSRP soon...
@KiwiCarLife
3 жыл бұрын
@@The_Noticer. yeah true, but that said, the fk8 as a stock car is one of the best handling fwd cars on the market even with strut suspension. So it can work, but double wishbone definitely takes better to mods

@@KiwiCarLife I know, I just can't decide what to do with mine. It's a CU1, which has great handling but i'm less impressed with the drivetrain. I haven't decided whether to just sell it and look in Germany for a 2.4 with MT (CU2), or turbocharge my CU1.
