great video and realy good spotting. and who said a 4runner couldn't go where a jeep goes, makes me feel so good about my 2016 trail 4runner with KDSS, wouldn't put my 4runner through that kind of terrain, but at least i know she can handle it. i do more of the overlanding with mine. keep up the great work.

Got to admit I'm pretty impressed with the 4R I own one l, and I would not have thought that it was up to the Rubicon Trail. I'll say though, that the Jeeps do seem a lot more comfortable on this type of terrain, watching 4runners in these type of situations, they always just look a little bit out of their element. Also, kudos to the driver for going for it.

That 4Runner is heavily modded. I wanted to see how a stock 5th gen would do.

How do you think a new bronco on 37s with front and rear lockers would do? I’m concerned about IFS on trails like these. The bronco gets a little tipsy especially compared to my Jeep.

I think it will do fine. I took my buddy this past weekend in his Chevy avalanche through rubicon on 35, and 6” lift. 🤣 it did awesome.

4 runner seems not meant for this tough trail. It’s jeep’s territory ….

With a proper clearance it’s doable even for IFS owners. But I would say min 6in suspension lift on 37 or 35 for IFS setup; otherwise, be prepared for hella trail damages especially the weak cv axles, and carry an extra set on the trail.
