This is sort of follow up to my previous video where I made a charging tray for my 2nd generation Toyota Tundra. That wireless charging pad failed, which I had to throw away since it was all one piece. I didn't want to remake another one out of MDF just to have the same thing happen again so instead I modeled one in Tinker Cad and 3D printed it. I also decided to use Velcro to attach the charging pad to the tray so if it fails, I can just replace it instead of throwing it out or printing a new one. This was my first time designing something in Tinker Cad and I am really happy with how it turned out.
I used PLA to print this tray out but ABS or maybe even PETG would have been better since they can take the heat that can build up in a car during the summer months. I will see how well this PLA version does in the coming months.
