TOZO is really bringing up some great products and growing in this market. The T-10's have over 38K reviews on Amazon and are the best selling earbuds not named airpods. The T6 and T12 are an improvement on the T10's. I was really impressed with a product originating from 2018 having wireless charging.

Just got my order in. I have never heard what a pair of active noise-canceling earbuds sounds like, but since these were $50, I decided to try it out. And let me say, I was actually speechless when I easily connected my phone to the NC9 and turned on the first song. 2 major things I noticed: I produce my own music and have a nice pair of over-ear headphones so I care about quality over style. It sounds like they boosted the base a bit, which sounds great, but at the cost of some upper-mid tones-making it sounds kind of hollow, but barely as the upper tones are turned up a bit to counter that. They aren't a pair of studio-quality headphones, that's for sure, but they blew away my expectations for $50... they also look nice so that's a plus. and for the reason why I got them; to try out the active noise canceling. This is where I got blown away. I turned on my fan to full blast, sat down across the room, and could hear it clearly in "transparent mode". When I turned on ANC, I could barely hear the fan at all. I actually didn't believe it at first and walked over to the fan to check to see if the cord actually fell out of the wall because it is that good. For my first pair of wireless earbuds with active noise canceling, I rate the NC9 a 9/10- highly recommend.

They sound great. The transparency mode is really neat, I wouldn't have full confidence running around traffic areas but it does help. I can see these being a great indoor buds. The wind does make them sound funny on my runs w/ transparency mode on but the fitting and connection are perfect. I'm digging these new buds style and how they go inside your ear and hug all the contours to get a good seal.

Good review, Sozen G! I really enjoy my '' TOZO NC9s '', they work perfectly with my computer and phone, amazing quality and sound stage, great stereo separation, almost 3D effect and no latency. Hi Digital Cave, nice endorsement of the Tozo! I did think it was odd they don't wirelessly charge, bit it must have been a cost cutting measure. Tozo doesn't update buds very often (I don't think) but they have a couple easy upgrades on these, imo, wireless is one, all-off anc/ambient is another. Glad you're loving them!

Thanks for the review! I got these as a backup to my Jabra 75t and although I like the sound and call quality of the 75t a little more, these can't be beat for the price. I agree that the anc is pretty subtle. So light and comfortable though, I love the clean look of these buds in-ear and can't help but switch back and forth with the 75t every few days. I have also run a few times in these, no issues despite lack of ipx rating. Also wanted to add that the magnet that holds the case shut is stronger than for the Jabras, and the little thunk sound is a bit louder and more satisfying.

Hi - I got the NC9 off this review. There aren't many at this price range that have ambient mode either. The Jabees Firefly 2 seems to difficult to get and see spotty reviews. The Edifier TWS NB also not really available on Amazone and seems awkward. But when I tested out my Tozo NC9's it didnt' seem to work or the ANC and Transparency mode is too subtle. Hi @WorksInTheory - I really feel like the NC9 have very noticeable passthru, but subtle ANC. I don't know how to say that any stronger. If you go outside for a run/bike ride you will clearly hear the difference and the passthru working (especially when the wind kicks up). ANC works for some sounds, not all - try asking your alexa/google home device to play "cafe background noise" and try the two modes - you will hear a huge difference, at least i do. thanks for being quicker to join my channel than 99,500 other people!

3:02 - well done on mentioning the echoing/thud that plagues IEMs for runners, practically NO "reviewer" ever mentions that problem that runners face. TBH the only way to deal with that problem is with earbud type TWEs like the Sabbat X12. They don't isolate of course but that's a plus for safety. How was the wind noise during your rides ? Normally you have to be on ANC OFF so that the ANC mics do not amplify wind noise.
@SoZenGadgets

Thanks @Peakabry, all my reviews comment on this issue, core to my use of earbuds. The reason I say these are more a passthru bud not an ANC bud, is exactly what you mentioned - not much wind noise comes from using the ANC while riding/running.

I realize the NC9 might be damaged by sweat but I also want an affordable bud with good ANC and sound quality. Hi @Jhowy 7112, I'm really glad you asked this question about the X3 and wind noise/ANC. The X3 can be listened to at volumes as low as 38% and still be heard well. Thx so much, that was very helpful but one final question. MPOW X3 or Soundpeats truewings? I know the X3 is better for calls but that’s minor for me. I’m also pretty sure but not 100% the truewings don’t have ANC but if the sound quality is good enough that won’t be a dealbreaker. @SoZenGadgets
3 жыл бұрын
Hi James, that is hard to say - because ambient mode does amplify your surroundings, so it may be producing noise when there's no sound around to amplify. I'm just not sure how any specific person would perceive that sound. I wish they would have included an "off" mode to prevent that, but maybe next time around for them. With the Tozo, I mostly use them in ANC mode and switch to ambient when I need it.

@@SoZenGadgets Thanks for your reply. This is my first set of NC wireless earbuds and I was just unsure about whether the hiss was a speaker fault? When you have the earbuds in Transparency mode and without any music or other input, you definitely hear the White Noise (Hiss). It is only when listening to music over 50% volume does the hiss become absorbed by the sound. The package I received states NC9 (Upgrade); I'm not sure if this makes any difference. The quality of sound (music) is very good, and for me, plenty of volume. The NC does work well in dealing with generic noise i.e. road traffic and city living. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

yeah, it's really too bad. ANC must be expensive tech to put into an earbud for them to charge more AND remove IPX rating and wireless charging that they have on the T6 and T12

I don't think you should have any issues with normal use including running and working out, just don't take a shower or go for a swim and you should be alright.

Mpow 30 or these?

If you really want ANC, you have to go with the Tozo. I think the M30 are much less expensive and still sound great, plus they are smaller earbuds with the wing tips for stability.
