This was a fun episode. Thank you to David for his special appearance! He sounds very supportive of your crafting and podcasting endeavors, and that is wonderful to hear. I was impressed that he knew a fair amount of the lingo. Who is watching all the children??? 😂😂😂

First - the two of you are adorable! And second - I so agree that it’s nice to have friends (even not ‘in real life’ friends) who really understand the knitting/crafting obsession! I feel like a weirdo all of the time! 😅

@@texaspeachknits YES! I totally agree! My husband doesn't have a hobby, really (he is still busy with work and administering our boys' football team, etc.), but I keep telling him that he should cultivate something once he retires!

I really appreciated your reasons for homeschooling. We homeschooled too, for the same reasons, and really enjoyed it. I'm an empty nester now and it's been so hard for me to adjust. I DO enjoy getting to knit and crochet as much as I want and I've been helping take care of my grandchildren as much as I can. Thank you for sharing. 😍

Fun podcast! It was fun to meet your husband. I am a piano teacher, so I identify with the music teacher, and also love knitting and homeschooled, so many things in common. I get what you’re saying about the favorite and least favorite things is being around your kids all the time. When mine were little, the highlight of my week was grocery shopping night. I would eat before my husband came home from work. It was usually leftovers that night. Then, when he came home, I would leave and he would feed the kids and get them ready for bed, and hopefully in bed before I got back. Sometimes I would get back a little too soon and would sit in the car in the driveway for a bit, enjoying the silence, because I knew they weren’t in bed yet. It was my time to breathe! Yes, occasional time alone is and was precious to me.

I would look forward to grocery shopping too! That is a great way to knock out a chore and get a break. lately I've been trying to squeeze it in on Saturday mornings which doesn't make them very restful!
