I've had a tempered glass screen protector and its done well in the last 4 years. THATS FOUR YEARS. I think its cracked just this past few months and the phone screen is still fine. I attribute most of the protection to the raised bezels on my case. The Tempered Glass was not of my own doing and was pre-installed. Either way, I'm on next phone and hope it will last me many more years to come and will likely get a TPU screen protector cause its a curved phone and bezels on phone cases aren't raised enough for curved phones. Either way I don't think its as simple as getting a good screen protector. Case matters.

Plastic/TPU is the best screen protector, it doesn't break & easy to apply & it's very cheap. Tempered glass is the worst, it breaks easy even when applying or if gripped hard by the car holder & it's expensive!

When the phone is dropped TPU won't break, but your phone screen will. Tempered glass is cheap you can get 2 for 1 dollar

I still have the stock film screen protector that came on my Galaxy S10+ & it has stoop the test of time. I've had glass screen protectors break my phone from impact, but the Film holds true. I have few barely noticeable scuffs on mine, and that's it.

Sold on the TPU. Glass doesn't absorb the shock. It takes the hit for the screen and in some instances can even break your screen. The TPU literally holds everything together to absorb. Once glass breaks or has a small crack it looses it's integrity.

True, but tempered glass is as close to the original screen feel as possible: less resistance to finger swiping than TPU, less smudges, sharper clarity, easier to clean than TPU.

Not true . Plastic doesn't "absorb" or "hold the original screen in place" thats absurd . When you drop your phone onto a hard surface the plastic won't break but the display under it will shatter

@@TheArccore It's a hydroGEL film, not just an ordinary PET film that uses plastic film. It's pretty obvious you haven't had an hydrogel screen protector based on your nonsense reply.

Wrong, The TPU is thick and can absorb most impacts. Any impact that damages a TPU protected screen will certainly be damaged if protected by a glass protector. Glass protectors only protect against scratches.

It literally shows in the video that the glass/screen under the TPU did not crack unlike tempered glass which cracked both screen and the screen protector itself.
