Was in Family Dollar, where the manager knows the assignment and only plays good music, nothing beyond 2007. And only plays current ones until it is properly vetted. When this came on and I lost my mind in the house hold section. The young guy stocking the shelves was so kind towards me, only smiled and let me be as long as I wasn't in his way, which I wasn't. He let me use the isle for my performance. Had to pay homage to Traci Spencer in 2023!!❤🙌🏿🙏🏿👍🏿💐🎤

I swear, I really miss Tracie and wish she was still making albums, because she has a special place in my heart, feel like I watched her grow up and her voice, music, and songs matured, you could see it and in this song you could feel that she hit a golden zenith in her career, with adult music about love and other things. I really think 'Make the Difference' was her best album, because it had such an eclectic mix, fast and danceable, like 'This House' which even had some hot remixes, to slowed down midnight love jams like Love Me and Tender Kisses. There were so many young girls of color around this time, solo and in bands and I miss that. We had Tracie, Brandy, Monica, Shanice, they were the ones that stick out the most and they had/have voices far beyond their years, which is why they stood out, and they had talent and didn't have to be half dressed to get our attention because they had that talent to draw us in. I miss that, I really miss that.

Dymir Hughes, One of the reasons why this song doesn't have over a million views is because many people don't know about the song or Tracie Spencer. These days KZitem, the radio, the music streaming services, and etc. are saturated with new age music that helps one forget about classic and quality music like "Love Me." Well, at least the song has over 496,176 views as I write this.

AuthetnicEpicBoom! Tracie Monique Spencer is now 38 years old. She turns 39 years old on July 12, 2015. She is still singing. This particular hit song of her's [Love Me] is from her album titled "Make The Difference" which was released 25 years ago on August 20, 1990. Her song Tender Kisses is also from this album as well. Love me was released as its own hit single on February 4, 1992 and Tender Kisses was released on its own as a hit single on July 16, 1991 [only 4 days after she turned 15 years old]. Tracie Spencer has released a total of three albums in her career. Her self-titled album "Tracie Spencer was released on July 16, 1988 when she was only 11 years old. Her second album "Make The Difference" was released on August 20, 1990 when she was 14 years old. Her last album [so far] titled "Tracie" was released on June 29, 1999 when she was a grown 22 years old. She turned 23 years old only 13 days after her last album [thus far] was released. Her last hit single came off her her last album and was released on its own as a hit single on March 14, 2000 [15 years ago]. Between her 2nd and 3rd album Tracie modeled for a few years and also went to college [I don't know which one] to pursue her education. Since then she has been singing background vocals for Kanye West ans Eve [just to name a couple of them]. In 2004 she acted in a short film called "A Tale f Two Sisters" and in 2006 she performed in a play ini Los Angeles, California called "Choices" Allegedly Tracie Spencer has retired from her career in singing since 2007. Tracie's last public appearance that I am able to verify is in 2011 when she was the Keynote speaker at the Martin Luther King Jr. celebration at Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center in Waterloo, Iowa [where she is from]. While I cannot CONFIRM this last part, Tracie is "ALLEGEDLY" married and living in the U.K. now. No mention of children be they confirmed or unconfirmed. I hope this is sufficient enough for you authentic washington.

You can tell by the songs Tracie sings on Make The Difference (1990) that Capitol Records wanted her to be a mature artist even though she was only 13 (age when she recorded the album) or 14 (when the album was released). The songs on this album ain't no teenage girl songs. That's the same process that Brandy, Christina, Aaliyah, and others went through on their debut albums.

Randomly thought of this song this morning. Good music from a great artist.. This is the type of music I miss, artists singing about love, nothing sexual. This music reminds me of being young again, getting my drivers license and listening to quiet storm radio at night.

This diva is so underrated. As I stated in response to another person's comments, we need more of the innocence of beautiful, quality ballads by our young artists. As Luther Vandross once said, ballads should leave something to the imagination instead of blatantly stating things. This is quality music at its best. Tracy, you are amazingly gifted.
