Just throwing out there some info if the climate and radio bezel case is kinda falling out at the top section. I had the same problem when I had my radio stolen. From my 2000 civic ex coupe. So I put small washers to lift it up and make the top of the bezel grab at the top of the dashboard. Hope this helps. I put the washers between the climate and radio bezel case mounting feet and dash frame it bolts too. Sorry if I could make my self clearer.

what concerned me is how much the front pushes when the tires are warm. Yes, at first it will rotate when the rear tires are cold, but on your last timed lap you can see the front push like a pig. Fixing that alone will gain you over a second easy as you wil be on power much much sooner. just my 2 cents

I did know what happens when the abs fuse burns/not there. I had a ranger pick up truck, someone stole a taillight and one of the cables made contact with the metal and burned the fuse, light came on. Bought the taillight but didn't change the fuse, almost flew off a road off a mountain. Scary crap.

I'm running DTC-60 front and HP+ in the rear and that combo seems to work really well with factory calipers and factory prop valve in my EK coupe. I also did a base line on my FA5 that's all stock with just an intake and my tuning with flashpro and I did 191whp. I'm not sure what's up but you guys are down on power a fair bit...maybe try a test pipe just to 100% rule out the cat. The cat my not be causing back pressure but it could be causing some resonance that's not working well with the K-series.

Okay after watching I think all of the videos on this civic, I have gathered that I will have quite a similar brake setup. My only question now is what size are the tires? I want to get these tires in 225/45 for the same rims on the same chassis. I am definitely glad I watched these video and finally know that I will be able to clear the ITR front calipers. Good stuff guys!
@speedacademy
6 жыл бұрын
205/50R15 is the tire size. 225s may fit but it could require some clearancing of the fenders.
@DomkeBoy
6 жыл бұрын
Speed Academy yea with 225s it will be cutting it close. Fortunately my fenders are already rolled on the inside and I don't have the inner plastics. So I guess I'll have to wait and see. I'm a bit lower than you guys have this setup. After watching y'all I'm pretty sold on the newer R888s. Thanks for replying. Keep it up!

I'm glad the questionable tuning came out finally, I guess people just wanted to see it on the road before they said anything. I know it's easy to dismiss as he's your friend, you have ties, don't want to publicly shame him, he has convinced you it's supposed to be like that, (pick option). But maybe just maybe consider it is the tuner, and trying another one. Just have a tiny seed of doubt in your mind and think about it.
@speedacademy
6 жыл бұрын
The car is much faster around the track and yet our tuner is to blame? It made 215whp so why would we be complaining. Yes its not 230whp but there are other factors then tuning that can affect the power output. Its not rocket science to tune this engine, I watched Sasha go through the timing tables and there was no more power to be had. As for the misfire, if you do a bit of research you'll see its a common issue with cars with large TBs when they are in VTEC decel at almost closed throttle positions. Very hard to tune out, especially on a dyno. It's amplified by the 3-inch exhaust.

Sounds like you're experiencing ABS Ice Mode. Basically the wheel speed sensors are decelerating faster than the ABS module considers possible(for a stock car). It assumes you've locked up your tires, so the only way to regain traction is to reduce brake pressure. This is a pretty common issue and can be caused by Front to Rear imbalance or stabbing the brake pedal, but some times it's just unavoidable. I know this can happen with Miatas on R-comps; the only known fix is to delete ABS, or disable it and only use it in the wet.
@speedacademy

Exactly, we're just going to keep disabling the ABS when we hit the track.

You need to not lock up the front tires when your coming in hot on that corner you have to tap the gas while braking to pull you into the turn or else your going to keep going off track.
