Looks great, especially the bigger curves. Looks like there's not much colour difference too. The inclines seem to work very nice as well, although they are a bit wide (more stability though). I use bricks for my inclines and use hinges to get the proper angle between the track pieces and the supports. Great review, thanks!

Yeah, the curves are very nice I'm starting to use them in a setup now and it makes a big difference. I can see what you mean about the supports being wide, I think they've done that deliberately to ensure any wider trains or ones pulling wide loads can fit through them. I have used bricks and hinges in the past as well, these will just be a bit quicker to set up if I need a cheeky hill somewhere. The great thing is the company is the right side of the pond for us so shipping is very reasonable.

The curves from trixbrix (R120) work realy great to be honest. Since I build all my trains in 8 wide the trains will run way smoother. Plus that it looks way more realistic

I was really happy to find some larger curves that didn't need any assembly, they do exactly what's needed.

Really useful video. I have been wondering how to do a locked in incline. I discovered them because of their crossover track which is functionally better than the one Lego used to make and costs a fraction of what the Lego ones cost now.

I used to be a purest when it came to LEGO since I started building trains I am now in the mindset if LEGO will not provide then I have no choice but to go elsewhere. LEGO I think is missing out though! Thanks for the review and demo! I am curious how well powerfunctions work on inclines...

You can see how a few of the trains cope with inclines on my Track Setups. Most of the engines I run have two PF motors in them: kzitem.info/door/PL3aI8NqlXzHXoR58Hoa-vLCdtwU0ZylJh

Yeah, Lego is really neglecting track. They've been kinda halfhearted with trains for a long time. I have a handful of stuff from the early 80's 12 volt system, and while the 9 volt system is superior in performance and reliability, and looks better, the sheer number features that the 12 volt system had was just so much fun. But that aside, track variety has always been the weakness of any of the systems; I'm glad to see 3rd parties filling in the gaps a bit, especially since Lego now doesn't even seem interested in making basic track pieces properly available...

I saw the supports and cross on ebay! I like the large circle because you can make two circles with a double crossover which is what I'm doing. The larger curve just gives a much more natural curve.
@DunksterBricks

Yep, the different types of curve are really useful, they do some interesting crossings as well that can be integrated into curves.
@Giraffiti

DunksterBricks, either, I'm gonna wait for 4DBrix to release their double crossing or wait for TrixBrix's double crossing to get its color match. Not sure what track set up I'm going to do and where it's going to be. Possibly gonna invest half of next years money into track (buy 8 straight track packs and 6 switch track packs) and the rest into my first technic supercar.

They look like a good product, well thought-out and made to the same standard as 'official' track. I followed your link to their youtube channel - and I think you do a better job of selling their products than they do themselves! Also, oddly, the raised incline puts me in mind of a lizard resting in the sunshine... I think it's the 'feet' at the end of the legs. Either that or I'm high on cold-medication again.

Cold medication........mmmmmmmm. I do like the look of the incline supports, they have a look that reminds me of old sci-fi for some reason.

I have a weird conspiracy. As you may know, there was a limited edition Santa Fe locomotive. There were only 10,000 sets made but the entire Santa Fe collection is in the Denmark Lego Vault. What I'm wondering is what is the number of the Lego Vault Limited edition set? If it's one of the 10,000, that means only 9,999 were released but if they made 10,001, then it would break the "10,000 made" statement. What do you think is the number?
@DunksterBricks
7 жыл бұрын
Maybe there's a 00,000 number and that's in the vault. :O
@Giraffiti
7 жыл бұрын
DunksterBricks, maybe one day I'll go there and question the vault keeper :P in 2-3 weeks, my birthday will come so the money for the EN will come up. I live in a huge family (biiiiig family tree) and I usually go "just bring money" so it makes it easier for my relatives. Last year, I got a whooping $270 and the 60051 passenger train (later, I bought 2 of each track pack from walmart when they were cheap) and the most one relative gave to me was $50. It was usually $20 bills and I'm not spoiled, I'm saving financially, lol. I might even have enough money to finish other projects! Man, hobbies are expensive.
