Stephen A. Smith here is some reason of why Jesus (AS) is not God. 1:He was borned (God can’t be born) 2. He was in his mom stomach for 9 months (that means God didnt exist for 9 months how is that Even possible? God not existing?) 3: he used to drink, eat and pray (God does neither of them) why would God pray to someone beacuse he isnt the god he praying to someone higher than him. 4; when ppl asked him about the hour he said God knows. Which means he isnt the god and Islam is true and that he was only a messenger sent by god. (:

The track is all about putting power to the ground. The Vaporflys just can’t transmit the kind of power you are putting out on the track especially in the shorter distances. I am curious about the new Nike VIPERFLY shoes. A track shoe with cushion sounds too good to be true.

Cushion will never return more energy than it absorbs. No matter what the cushion takes out some energy
@LearningFast
4 жыл бұрын
Anon yes you can never get 100% efficiency or probably even 90%+ efficiency. However, typical track spikes are probably much less efficient at returning energy. Now they also allow you apply more force so it is a give and take. It will be really interesting to see if these Viperfly shoes do work well. It could be a game changer if you can get a significant energy return and still put your full power to the ground. This could even put Bolt’s records at jeopardy if it is for real.
@Anon.G
4 жыл бұрын
@@LearningFast track spikes don't lose any energy though. A pebax or boost cushioned shoe is at about 65 percent energy return, and a cushionless spike is closer to 90%
@LearningFast
4 жыл бұрын
Anon the shoe with the cushion can store downward energy that would otherwise be wasted. The rigid spike shoe doesn’t store any of that energy. I am not saying the Viperflys will automatically be the better shoe. However, it is possible that the Viperfly shoes store a significant portion of the downward energy and release it in combination with the energy generated by the runners legs. In that case the Viperflys could be less efficient in transmitting the power from the runners legs but still return more total energy because of the stored downward energy that would otherwise be wasted.

Nick, I’ve been waiting for this video for a while because I have been wanting to test this out myself. I’m a decent high school runner with some vic 3s and 4%s wanting to go sub 9 in the two mile. And even after the video I’m still unsure about what you were saying. It seems like yes you want to be running on your toes more but I feel like it’s going to hurt you when you run out of energy and form starts to falter. Your 400, yes a little slower in the next%s, looked a lot smoother and you can tell you weren’t as tired. With that in mind don’t you feel like it would be easier to maintain a 67 second pace with the added heel support throughout the race? I’m not looking for big sprinting moves I’m looking for a smooth comfortable pace.

If you wear spikes in the 5K or 10K on a track you are just asking for an injury. Vaperflys all the way. For the 1500 down, of course spikes. 3000 it's personal preference. I'm an endurance runner. I ran the two mile in them on the track and they were really good. The kick at the end wasn’t there but the first 6 laps felt great. The ones I used where a friends that where super used and out of shape

I have the hyper sprints spikes. And i searched about if it was good or not. The only thing that is said was its good for 400m-60m and it has a five spike that has the plate underneath

I wore my cross country spikes all throughout my track seasons, where I was hurdling and doing mid distance. I probably should have invested in some track spikes but I cut into my high school top 10 in 4 events so I never really thought much about footwear.

I own the proto blue Vaporfly 2’s, and they perform very well in mid-distance track events, after using spikes and not seeing a ton of improvement in the 800, I started using vapors, and they got my time down by 10 seconds in only a few days. Sometimes it is the person who uses it, not the shoe itself.

Back when I was in 5th grade (Im in 7th now). I ran a 5:35 mile during a track meet at a official high school track, Wearing a pair of Lebrons (Either 14 or 15s.). Im a more of a sprinter but I was wondering if I could get some tips on like what shoes to use for better preformance. Because this monday. I ran a 7:02 after lunch in Kyrie 5s. I was wondering how much Run Gum + The Epic react 2s, or the brooks spikes could help improve my time. BTW its the same exact kind of track. Thanks

I have seen Sondre Moen run a PR in the 10000 on the track using Vaporflys. For me, I also prefer them on a 5000, except when the track is wet, then they are terrible.

Think you’re missing something key here. Spikes are definitely better in a mile on the track, but over longer distances on the track (like the 10k), the vaporflys allow you to stay relaxed for the first couple miles. That’s why you see at lot/most pros using the next%s at that distance.

What do you do with old spikes. I mean, you have lot of spikes and shoes so what you do with your used spikes and shoes.

I was wondering, since I’m representing my school for the 800m, and we’re gonna run on turf, should I run with spikes? Or just regular shoes?
