Thanks for the video, I did not know such parts/tool existed. I was not convinced that they will have enough holding power in a storm, but I will get some and do some testing. Great to be given something new to think about

Mine are riveted in on my 175TXW. I will have to drill out the rivets to remove the old cleats.

Great idea. Can you provide the hardware sizes and where you got them? I am going to do this on my 2012 Tracker TXW

Thanks for the video. I'm thinking if doing the same. Are/were you concerned with galvanic corrosion? Being that SS and aluminum don't play nice together. And in a salt water environment, you could see corrosion really fast - within a year. If I do this, I would opt for all aluminum fasteners. The grip pad was a nice touch - the SS would not be directly contacting the aluminum. I don't know if that was deliberate. Thanks again!

Curious to know how your Cleat Upgrade has held up. Thinking of doing this but thought it worth while to check on it since it's been a year and a half for you. Thanks for the video

Chris, Did the cleat itself cover all 4 holes from the old cleat?

Not all the way. There will be about a 1/16 of an inch showing. That is why I put the tape under them. I knew it would bug me

Where did you get your rivet setting tool? Can’t seem to fine one like it that will set the stainless steel inserts. Thanks for the video.
