I added a top link on my kioto ck3510 se to use with my box blade. It makes grading so much easier. It also helps on my woodland hills chipper when loading on my trailer by being able to retract the top link so you don't drag the back side of the chipper.

Awesome! Agreed, it’s a gamechanger for grading. I think that’s one of the benefits most often overlooked, the ability to more easily load and unload a trailer.

Hey Jared Another great and imformative video. I too have GL3560. Dealer dismissed the need for top and tilt, cost to value. I want your opinion, we have a newly constructed limestone driveway just short of 900' . The drive was installed late last season, just before the snow arrived. I know the drive will need final grading shaping this spring. Will be receiving EA land plane soon. This will be the primary implement used on the 3 point hitch. What are your thoughts and recommendations? Thank you, Tyger

I wouldn’t want to be without it. I use mine all of the time. You’re going to want to grade a crown is to your driveway in the flat sections and a slope for other areas depending on which way you need water to run. For that, you’ll either need to get off the tractor and manually adjust the plane or use a tilt cylinder. I love the top cylinder because it allows me ti more easily load and unload a trailer, hook up implements, and adjust aggressiveness of cut. If I don’t want my land plane to cut much then I pitch it back so the shoes are slightly elevated in the front. If I want it to dig more, especially with the scarifiers down, then I pitch it forward.

Great info Jared . I appreciate your knowledge and insight. I've have the same tractor and ordered the same top link in the video. Question though, what ?where did you go to convert the cylinders BSP thread to NPT that I'd find at the local NAPA store?

I got my top link with the check valve from TSC for around $225. I has suited me well. I'm in the market for a side link and can't wait 9 months for a Fit Rite. Any suggestions?
@JaredsShop
2 жыл бұрын
The TSC is probably an AMA. They didn’t have any in stock when I was looking. I replied to your comment in the group but will say the same thing here for those that are reading the comments. I will most likely get an AMA side link but it’ll need some modification, at least from the specs I read. I don’t think the holes sizes are right for my L3560. When it comes that time I’ll definitely make a video for it. The issue I have with fit rite is I’m not sure he installs check valves. I know it was an option for a while but he tries to talk everyone out of it.

For what model tractor? So far, I haven’t found one. They all have something wrong, like hole size, etc. I think I’m going to buy one that’s close and modify it.

@@JaredsShop Hi Jared, thanks for responding. I have an L3560HSTC. I have looked online for hours and it looks like I’ll either need to buy the Kubota side link or see if I can find something to cut and weld. But like you said, the problem seems to be the ends. I may have to weld the holes up and redrill them but I would much rather have something right out of the box.
@JaredsShop

@@xzq7l2 I agree. If I modify one it will probably be by cutting off the ends and using the ends from the stock fixed link. That way I’m not welding and drilling.

@@digrdusty1 What dimensions do you need that were outlined in the video? I think I listed the hole sizes and I know listed extended and retracted dimensions. For the fittings, you can use what you want. I think these are -6 SAE ORB.

I did not before selling my tractor but would have loved to have at least a tilt. I spent much of my time grading a long gravel road.

I don’t think I could be without them. I use them all of the time. I use the top when loading and unloading the tractor on the trailer, hooking up implements, changing aggressiveness of cut with the blades, adjust height on the harley rake, etc. The tilt is obviously used any time I want the implement to be on a different plane than the tractor. I use it with almost every implement.

@JaredsShop
7 ай бұрын
I will soon be replacing mine with a style that has check valves because I’m tired of the drift, especially with heavy implements. If they’re heavy, the drift is obviously faster and more noticeable. For example, when I have my seeder on, I’ll have to adjust it after lifting it for any period of time or after several lifts. It doesn’t drift when the seeder is engaged with the ground, but if I’m driving around with it up, or after lifting it several times at the end of rows, it’ll need adjusting.
