Happy Easter TTWT! It is always a bit of an educated guess on what equipment set up will be the most efficient. Unfortunately it is not possible to haul every attachment in the arsenal out to every job to cover all possibilities that arise. You make your decision and do the best you can. Half the cost but 5 times the install and removal time. Plus the toothbar supports the teeth so you don't have all the force on the edge of your bucket bending its lip. Can't blame you for trying to save a buck. Give a bar a shot next time you are in that position. :^)

Thanks again for a wonderful episode. I would like to make a suggestion. Rather than trying to take stuff in one pass with the bucket, be a little more patient. The bucket is great for picking up and moving loose material. The bolt-on forks do a good job of ripping up material, just like the tines on a box blade. Next time, try using the forks turned down and back up to rip up the material and make it loose before trying to pick it up in the bucket. Even let yourself make several passes like that. I know its wet, but dragging the forks backward allows you to make loose material better than attacking with the bucket head on. Driving forward with the bucket into hard material always begs for the bucket to dig in and squash the front tires, which causes the bucket to dig in more. Another thought might be to bring the box blade and use it to break up the gravel, then scrape it off a little at a time. The amount of cut on the box blade is very well controlled by the length of the top bar...you can even get some ripping out of the tines when they are fully up, by tilting the box all the way forward...it doesn't dig in like the bucket, and will break up the gravel and then kind of float over the clay and other dirt...then you can push the top lift out some and engage the cutting blade, under really good depth control because it will float on the back blade unless you lean it really hard forward for cutting...I'm like you...I'm inpatient, and like cheese burgers. Box blade...way forward for tine cutting, way back for back blade smoothing, medium forward for cutting and carrying forward (very sensitive in the mid range... can quickly go from cutting just a little to digging pretty hard and carrying a lot). Learn to sneak up on it with the box blade so you can shave and then easily pick up the piles with the bucket. I'm just saying...experience born of pain. Love your great work and wish you a wonderful Easter celebration with your family.

The additional weight might make this idea not feasible, but could you put a tooth bar on the 4in1 bucket? Since you can open the bucket and use it like a dozer blade, you would still have a smooth edge when you needed one. If you get a larger tractor later, maybe you could explore this combination on it.
