Informative and to the point. I learned more in this 3:56 video (slip vs. grab hook and how to use both) than I've learned in videos 10x longer. Good to know that I've been using my grab hook incorrectly!

Ya , we used the grade 30 chain , until we one time used it an saw the welds coming apart , after that we dished out the dough and bought 1/4 "grade 80 lifting chain , we have 2 lengths of 10ft , i recently bought 10 feet of 3/8" chain of grade 80 chain ( was on sale at our local TSC Store )with grade 80 locking grab hooks( from www.boltonhooks.com/index.html) , I am doing work with a 69 PTO hp tractor.

+45NUTS nice! With that much hp grade 80 is probably required! My little 1025r would have a hard time messing up a grade 30 chain! Good to know they have the 80 chain at tsc, though. Thanks for the comment!

I'd accept that as a Fathers Day present.

Just a quick basic look at chains. What do you use with your tractor? My math on the cost of this chain is a little off - I think it's closer to $25 :)
