This is one of the most *epic* moments in basketball. And the fact that McGrady did this against Bowen, who was notorious for being one of the best defenders of his generation. It's too bad that McGrady got injured and was never the same. Aside from Iverson, T-Mac was probably my favorite player to watch ever.

I remember this happened when I was a senior in high school and I remember it was late and i needed to go to bed so I almost shut it off i was getting up to turn it off and head upstairs until that steal and dunk to make it 74-68 and i figured why not finish it. I have forever been a die hard lakers fan so I wasn't a fan of any other team but was just watching the game but when T-Mac made that last 3 I cheered i couldn't believe it. I always though even then what made that comeback even more spectacular was that the spurs shot 6 free throws in that time frame and didn't miss one of them, usually comebacks of that magnitude are a combination of great offense, luck, and the other team missing free throws so the fact that they made them all make that an unstoppable comeback it was amazing

Never going to forget the legacies those two left, and i hope they know they made basketball history! They did for me, and all of china for that matter. Afterall, those two were the reason basketball became a trend in china, most likely the reason players like jeremy were inspired to play and to aim for the NBAs.

First off tmac was a great defender and a 2 times scoring champ and in those 2 seasons he averaged over 30 points. Do you really see James harden ever averaging over 30 points or winning the scoring MVP playing with guys like durrant and Lebron. Tmac was a great playmaker and could create for others that's why he played a lot of point guard in his career, but was kind of forced to be more of a wing because of his size a defensive ability.

During those 33 seconds, McGrady averaged 0.39 points per second. If it were possible for him to keep up that pace over 48 minutes of regulation, he would have scored 1,134 points that night.

I was rooting for the Spurs at first, but then when I saw McGrady make the first two three's, I was on the fence, and then when he hit the third one, I was solidly behind the Rockets. You don't get to see stuff like this happen every day.

dwarz1991 Perhaps so, though I'm not exactly a big fan of either team. I just wanted to see something relatively historic, or at least rare. Put it this way: this game probably is 1000x more memorable because McGrady finished the comeback, otherwise it's just another NBA regular season game that Tim Duncan and Greg Popovich's team won, which has been the most ho-hum thing to have happened in the NBA in the last 17 seasons.

"And that's where it ends, even though he's only 34. He announced his retirement Monday, and his popular legacy will be that of the supreme talent who could never win a title. I don't really care whether that's fair or not. The honor of leading one's team to an NBA championship belongs to dozens of guys. If they hadn't accomplished it, it would have been accomplished by someone else. Those 33 seconds, though. If McGrady hadn't done it, it never would have happened. The moment would not exist."

Victim Glyph T-Mac was on the Spurs roster for the 2013 playoffs when they lost to the Heat in 7 games in the Finals. He signed with them right before the season ended and hardly played at all in the playoffs. If that Bosh offensive rebound kick-out to Ray Allen miracle three didn't happen in Game 6, he'd have a ring right now. Long story short, no he's only officially been out of the league for coming up on two years now.
