@@brittani9742Well I mean at the end of the day, a woman doesn’t need a husband to succeed in life. Any woman can succeed, husband or not, and believing otherwise is ignorant. A woman shouldn’t be shunned because she wants to stay home and do things for her husband, and the same goes for a woman who would much rather do the opposite. Most women are not waiting until 40 to have children, either. It’s not by choice. America is not the America that the boomer generation started their life in. It is absolutely insufferable to be able to get started in life as a young adult, never mind adding children to the mix. @dynastyandrews2416 whhhat?? There were traditional wives in every culture. Women weren't working jobs that paid until the 1920s. Possibly women had jobs taking care of other children or house chores to help provide when their husband was at war. You're so close-minded. This has nothing to do with racism or white supremacy. Everyone is mixing an idea of controlling white men on television who boss women around and beat them. I'm starting to wonder if most of these negative comments are from ppl under 40 who haven't seen many traditional things at all in their lives.

it’s able to be related to white supremacy because, in the 50s-60s, when the whole trad wife thing was born, white women were the ones who had the luxury of staying home and just home making. women of all other races have worked out of necessity forever and very few of them actually ever experienced this revamped idea of what a tradwife is

The main reason I find the "tradwife" lifestyle funny is because it only originated in the post WWII era America... that's where it all came from. All over the world and all throughout history, women have always worked, not just homemaking work, but actual work. Human history is rife with poverty and poor living conditions, and I promise you that actual traditional women didn't have the luxury of staying home, baking, and frolicking through the fields. If anything, the modern day trad wife is based off of women who had an experience in a prosperous post-war society that lasted maybe 10-20 years. There is nothing actually traditional about it, truly. Why do you think there is such a strong push to educate women in underdeveloped countries? Because the safest and most empowered women in the world come from countries where education is available to them and where they have the option to do more with their life than start having kids as a teen, if they choose to. Maybe modern day feminism has veered off on a strange track for some people, but feminism at its roots is about protecting women and making sure that they have a choice to live a happy and safe life of THEIR choosing, rather than of their husband's or society's.

My wife and I have been married 17 years. She has not had a job one day in that entire time. We have five children. I do NOT make a lot of money. We make it work. I began this life as an atheist…the decision wasn’t motivated by religion. We just made a conscious decision to look around and see why everyone around is so miserable, and we determined it was all this stuff you’re saying here. Fast forward almost two decades and we are now committed believers in Christ and the Catholic Church, and our family is very, very happy. Our kids are well adjusted, we’re not stressed out and in competition with each other for respect. There are no internal power struggles, no arguing about who does this and doesn’t do that, etc. I work my butt off outside of the home, she works her’s off here with the house and kids, and life is good. My advice to anyone is to legitimately look into these things and ask yourself: why is everyone unhappy these days? Why are families broken, why are even very young kids eaten up with anxiety and depression and identity crises, why don’t “enlightened” and “modern” societies even reproduce enough to keep themselves from going extinct? I love and respect my wife, she respects and loves me. And you really can have the same thing if you take a step back and give things an honest look (and give faith an honest chance). God bless you, Gwen. You’re making real progress.

I'm 51 years old. I was born on September 20, 1972. When I was young, there was a very different idea from what exists today of what a man should at least aspire to be. In those days, the societal image of true masculinity was that of a real man, a strong man, a protector of women and animals, a true gentleman, and knight in shining armor. The women that loved men such as these talked to them in a very sweet, affectionate, romantic, caring, loving, gentle, nurturing, feminine, and flirtatious manner. They would never refer to any man they loved as their "partner" and, in fact, the modern usage of that word in marriages and relationships cheapens everything and makes it seem like a transaction or business arrangement instead of the divine union between a male soul and a female soul. Relationships and marriages are between a man and a woman, and so the proper terms are boyfriend and girlfriend or, in case of marriage, husband and wife. To a woman who loves a real man, he is not her partner. He is her husband, her man, her soulmate. He is her lion and she is his lioness.

Hi. Ty for the video! I wanted to point out that women as keepers of the home and men working is indeed the order God originally created. At the same time in the NT Paul said it was better to be as he was (single) 1 corinthians 7:8. Not everyone woman is called to marriage and she has the God-given right to support herself and her household. While there is always a risk in life, that risk has actually doubled and tripled over the last four decades The divorce rate in the church is actually higher than in the world. Jesus says 8x in the NT that to divorce and remarry while your covenant spouse is still living is adultery. (Matthew 5:32, Matthew 19:9; Luke 16:18; Mark 10:11-12, Romans 7:3). I am likely more biblically conservative than most of your audience, yet I would encourage my daughters to get a college degree and a good paying career. The chances of her husband divorcing and remarrying is astronomically high and would get a “blessing” from their so-called church pastor.
