I wouldn’t assume that Josh is a low usage player just because of his role with the Mavs…There simply weren’t enough shots to go around, because of the number of high volume shooters on the team, and so Josh’s role was primarily to play defense and take the occasional 3. However, he has also shown that he can remain efficient on higher volume when called upon, when given an expanded role in the offense. I’m really hoping that he isn’t boxed in on the Hornets and has the opportunity to increase his FGAs. Also, Green didn’t fall out of the rotation. He played in every game he was available but dealt with injuries. He had an elbow sprain that kept him out for a month or so during one stretch and then an ankle sprain towards the later half of the season that kept him out for a few weeks as well.

Josh Green is an excellent 3 point shooter, connector and is a great dude in the locker room. He will throw any pass on the court and he loves to throw skip passes while jumping (jump passes his favourite thing). He is weak navigating screens so his POA defense is not good, he will die on every screen. He is sometimes reluctant to shoot and will always look to pass normally by jumping first. Good role player on a very good contract that will be a steal in 1 year. He is a quiet guy very humble and will work hard for you just don't expect him to run around screens and defend PG's.
@crisdeugzman3711

This is regurgitated opinion blindly accepted as fact, you even reused word for word what you have read from other comments that he would "die on the screen". To say his poa defense is not good is such an overstatement. I watched their games he was one of Dallas' best defenders. Get your facts straight and formulate your own opinion

... How do we feel about a sign and trade with NO for bridges and we get Ingram...? Miles maybe fits the physical style they want to play more, and BI ofc having issues resigning and doesn't seem he wants to. lets brandon go to 2, green elite potential piece off of the bench perhaps, and outside of not knowing the cap? Im not opposed at all. BI doesnt need to be as much of a point forward and can do what he thrives in offensively eithout having to do nearly as much shot creation. Just curious whay you guys think. Maybe BI is a bit win now but needing a 3 yr deal with sign and trade puts him in the 3rd year of lee where, before you have to pay Miller, ingram is in last year and everyone is peaking with Lee in charge? Sorry for typing a book. 💀💀💀💀

@@ignorantenlightenment so many teams are cap strapped right now is why I even thought of it yesterday - like, if we're getting the seconds on a just-played-in-the-finals young wing just for HAVING cap - there's not many others if BI and NO don't get a deal done who even have the ability to facilitate it. We'll see tho for sure. Feel like chemistry miles has is probably worth a lot more $ amount wise than it's worth to do the deal... But if miles can't agree, I guess they can't agree. Na, I followed their games for years even before his rookie season. His 26.4 mins a game this past season is not really low usage, and not 4 but almost 7 FG attempts per game (5th in the roster) on a 47.9% clip. Everyone on that team had to defer to luka and kyrie so there's not a lot of shots available. He supplements his meager 3 point rations (3.3 attempts/game, which he converts at a high rate) by literally scavenging for his own shot opportunites, mainly with steals, offensive rebounds and sprinting for fastbreaks, all of which he does very well. There was a point before the Mavs' new acquisitions when he led the league in 3point percentage and if I remember correctly he was routinely scoring 12 or so points a game. You probably watched a game or two but give this man more touches and he will do well. Before Kyrie came that's what he did, during the 2022-23 season he was on a good trajectory, was a confident starter converting 53.7% of his field goals and 40.2% on threes
