Cp3 is now a Spur, and for me Atlanta won’t be near a playoff team in the next 3 years regardless, so I think the Spurs should definitely keep those picks, especially with these draft classes that are coming

I agree that signing CP3 eliminates the idea of Young to the Spurs, at least for now. I do think Atlanta will be floating around the play-in if they keep their current roster.

Nice to see that you're applying ATL's mind. However, you're failing to apply Spurs true mindset. Spurs identity was and still is defense. Hawks just got worse bro in a better draft. They can get a starting pf/sf. Great opportunity for bench depth as well in the near future.

Great point! I do think it would be awesome to see the Spurs add another taller big man alongside Wemby. Their defense would be unreal

I love how the narrative around the league (outside of San Antonio) is that Wemby wants to win now and is making it seem like he’s demanding the Spurs make moves quickly, when that’s not it at all. Of course he wants to win, but he has stated that he trusts the organization and the process of what they are doing. Spurs fans here know!

I agree that he is trusting the process. No need to be reckless, especially when he is just getting started. Prior to the CP3 signing, I felt like this trade made sense for the Spurs since Young is still a young player in the league, allowing the Spurs to compete and be young. They would still be able to trust the process since they would have maintained their picks. Regardless, the Spurs have a bright future!!

I was originally high on trying to trade for T. Young, but I believe the Hawks would demand their ‘25 1st round pick back and I don’t see the Spurs doing that, which I agree with. If the Spurs are able to snipe T.Young without giving the ‘25 pick back, then that be HUGE for us!

@@Raminole1g Yeah, I agree. I thought the Spurs would need to include ATL's 2025 and 2027 picks, especially since the 2025 draft has a lot of hype
