Nice video. Liked seeing that bear. Is that common for moose to have hair like that this time of year?

Due to the mild winter that we had this year, the winter ticks (Dermancentor albipictus) were really hard on the moose. The moose try to rid themselves of the ticks by rubbing them off, thus rubbing off their fur. When the ticks are bad like they were this year, a lot of moose do not survive the winter.

Moose and deer in the same habitat. Don’t the moose get a brain disease from the deer droppings?

Surprised to see all those young bulls with antlers, figured they'd loose them about the same time deer would.

It’s sad to see the hairless scrapes on the moose. Ticks can kill a moose.
