both of my great great great great great grandfather and grandmother died back in 1838 thanks to Andrew Jackson he told my cherokee people out of North Carolina and i’m really glad both of my 5x great grandfather sacrifice his life for me to stay in my beloved state of North Carolina. It makes me cry thinking about him and his wife even i never had a chance to meet them i would thank my 5x great grandfather for his life for me to stay in North Carolina.

My great grandfather lost his parents on the Trail. He arrived in Fort Smith Arkansas an orphan at the age of 13. I really appreciate the actors in this movie. Also, I realize that the people that played the "bad guys," in the movie help to tell this story that needs telling.

It was heartbreaking to watch and listen to this HISTORY. Ancestors on both sides of my family are Cherokee and church friends were Cherokee (Mom & 3 kids from a Canadian reservation who came to America and were members of our church, then returned to the reservation after she lost both her sons).

I came across the story of trail of Tears by accident. I never heard of this story before and it wasn't in my history books or my children or my grandchildren either. My granddaughter is part Menominee so I decided to read it. I never felt so sick to my stomach and never cried so hard I'm my 66 years. I would like to find answers as to why this part of history was omitted from us. I will find out and when I do I will po

My father once told me that had those three tribes united, there would not be the United States that we see today. The Cherokee were master blacksmiths and farmers, amongst other things , the Comanche were many and fierce warriors, and the Apache were the best guerrilla warfare fighters that have ever lived. No, they would have driven them back and they would have convinced the rest of the tribes to join them. Seeing how the US government treated every single tribe, the plains tribes of the north would have ran to join them! These corrupt, lying, cheating politicians have destroyed anything that was good about this country. The country is gone, most people just have not realized it yet, but they will. Especially when China and Russia come.

Why did they do andrew Jackson with an English accent his ancestry is irish, also the native Indians were on the British side in the war of independence because Britain had a deal with the indians long before that they would not be disturbed from their land after the war of independence many native indians came to Britain in wild west shows and stayed.
