Even though Hal didn't write this song, he sings this from such a deep emotional place, he owns it! He's one of my favorite singer/ songwriters. So sad you are no longer with us but grateful you have been released from your body and are singing with those who have gone before you. May your family find peace in your passing. Thank you for sharing your gifts, talents with us all. Love his beautiful hair!!!

it sucks that we all age, that's the thing about people that are immortalized in time by their accomplishments, what an amazing writer, an even better vocalist, so many great songs about love and heartache.....such a loss....sob

Dear Hal I want to let you know that I still sing lots of your songs. Small Town Saturday night. Past the point of Rescue. In front of the Alamo, and now TRAIL OF TEARS! I am from Cherokee North Carolina. I am half Cherokee and half German. My ancestors were on the terrible Trail of Tears. People died and left on on the side of the trail First time someone stopped to mourn he was shot dead. Then left him on the trail. But they traveled the rest of the road together to their Happy Hunting ground! They died fro from cold

🙏 It's so sad... Let us also pray for all the Canadian American indians THAT WERE SO COLDLY FORCED IN THE HORRIBLE CANADIAN SNOW TO MOVE OFF OF THEIR HOMELANDS, LANDS THAT THE CANADIAN GOVERNMENT HAS NEVER COMPENSATED THEM FOR... and we are not allowed to know of Plagues that spread when they took much needed blankets in harsh canadian weather... May *God* bless 🔫🏋The United States and The Native Americans🔫🏋💸💸💰💰 living in The United States so we can one day find out the horrible hardships the Northern American Indians were tortured with AND LET US HELP THEM💲 WITH OUR BLESSINGS FROM GOD... Amen..🙏
