Hey All,
Thank you for joining me for another timelapse video.
In this painting, I wanted to create very moody scene so I decided to start with both the liquid white and liquid black. By starting on the edges working in, I applied the liquid black then blended from the center out with the liquid white. This makes a really fun starting point for any painting where you really want to emphasize the light area, while painting in the alla prima fashion. Something to keep in mind is these paints are going to dry over the coming weeks/months/years. So we always want to think about the base colors and our contrast with dark to light.
I had an idea to use some fun bright golds and reds, complimenting them with warm, rich browns and greens. In the end, I am really happy with the way this scene turned out. The full painting took me about 3 hours start to finish not including a break for food. Below I will include the paints that were used.
Keep in mind, all the paints and brushes are Bob Ross branded, and I have been really pleased with their reliability and durability. I do find myself with a lot of brushes and sometimes the beaten up ones are great for grasses and finishing work! I do not have any affiliate links, but if any of you are interested in something like that from me, please let me know in the comments below!
Paints:
Liquid Black
Liquid White
Titanium White
Yellow Ochre
Indian Yellow
Alizarin Crimson
Sap Green
Phthalo Blue
Mahogony Mix (1 + 1/4 part Alizarin Crimson 1 part Sap Green) I like mine more to the warmer side, so just a tough more Alizarin if you like that, or more Sap green if you prefer it a different tone.
Dark Sienna
Van Dyke Brown
I am using the KZitem Music platform for this video and I thought I would try it out for a few here to see if there are any dig changes with viewers. Please, please let me know your thoughts and if you all prefer the Musicbed options. I thought I would try to save some pennies since I am no longer suplementing my income, I am solely working off of my painting business now, so if you can also share this with all your friends and family, be sure to give a thumbs up and comment to let me know how you liked this video. Every little bit helps me to continue panting and providing content to you and this channel.
I wanted to send out a very special thank you to a handful of key helpers behind the scenes who are helping me to level up my online presence. For now I will refer to them as my "Team" but you all know who you are. Thank you Team for providing me with new networks to keep my content creation on track, pre-editing my vids, and narrowing down my avenues for selling so I can focus purely on the creation aspect of my business.
