As I'm starting with my balcony garden.... Craig brought a load of motivation and inspiration to me. Yes, a balcony can bring lots of veggies and herbs etc.... I'm so much excited and like a kid looking forward to nature's gifts on my doorstep! Thank you for this! Starting small - moving forward step by step - do it with what you have, where you are.

Thank you for this very informative and realistic interview on self sufficiency. This brings to light the reality of what it takes to build the dream. I really loved the part about community. It is crucially important to any homestead. 🙏🏼

Thank you for this interview with Craig, it has so motivated me. I have had so many setbacks on my journey but hearing the two of you motivates me to keep going. I have now enclosed my kitchen garden and it is thriving 💪 my problems have been floods, fire and neighbours cattle , but I'm determined to keep going one day at a time. 😊 Blessings to you both 🌱💚

I am definitely in the second group of "homesteaders". I am working on my dream of being as self sufficient as possible. Yes I have purchased my future homestead, but the journey to actually living on it, will be an urban one, of learning as many skills possible, in the here and now, until I can eventually afford to and feel comfortable with my skills, to move onto my homestead. For me homesteading ain't homesteading without community.
