What a trip down memory lane. Having had so many guests come and go Martin, you may not recall but Sue and I started our fishing careers on The Little Test at Nursling about the same time as you began your time there. I recall that 8lb Sea Bass I caught with Nick Denbow by my side in the brackish waters above the pipe bridge. I also recall the wise words of Vic each time he wandered past. He was always right… Happy days… Best to you Squire. Simon Race

This video has given me the desire to find the beginning of the Wisconsin River that I grew up on and live by to this day. Great video. The emotions are raw and real and I love it.

My last name is Test. I just learned that my last name, this is, my ancestors took their name from this area. I am absolutely astonished by the beauty of this river; it makes me want to visit there in the near future. Thank you for sharing.

What a great story! Mr.Test must visit the Test. Mr.Itchen certainly doesn’t have the same ring to it! No prizes guessing where my surname originates - just outside of Cork. I’m a bottle stopper apparently?! Cheers Donny

Nice one, thanks for the film and for looking after the river and caring. I now live in Scotland and due to dodgy health unlikely to see the river again, so this was a nice lift on a cold and frosty day.

Been an angler for 56 years give or take a month or so. I love the water and the nature that goes with it. What 'they' are doing to OUR waterways now is disgusting! Hope the Test can be kept as clean as possible. Great little video.

I grew up in this area 50 years ago. I do not recall the landscape blighted by electricity pylons - they seem to be everywhere. I had a Saturday job working for a river keeper near Mottisfont - we were allowed to fish for grayling for a few hours in return for manual work on the riverbanks.

Please do leave a comment if you have enjoyed the film. If we get enough subscriptions to our channel and know that people are enjoying this promo video then we will start editing the whole walk... The nature and beauty of the river is absolutely spectacular and Donny's knowledge and experience will teach you things that you never knew about moving water and its very special relationship with all life, human, bird, mammal and aquatic...
