Thanks for this. I’ll stick to using my lawn tractor with the bolt on hitch. 👍🏼

I had some left over vinyl flooring with a rubberized backing that I use over gravel and it's a perfect solution to prevent the slide that you get from plywood... 8ft flooring planks "stick" to the gravel nicely and I can move them based on plan of travel of the Valet! I also cut up various lengths to create short runs as needed.

Bought one to move our 25’ travel trailer. Start on driveway and go over pavers. Total distance is about 15’. Use a 1/2 “ dewalt corded drill. Not a problem at all. It was a good purchase for us.

Good review! I have one and it worked with 5000lb trailer and 600lb tonque on wood over grass so tire wouldn't sink/spin uselessly on slight downward angle (1 deg) BUT.... absolutely cannot do any bumps (like driveway to road) or curb or angles or up any grades. Mine has the wheel attachment since my unit didn't have a wheel. Basically you need a FLAT + good surface (concrete or boards down as in this vid) situation. Since my issue was 'very tight along the house' / very difficult to back it in rather than trying to do 90deg or something - I wound up doing a custom front hitch on my car ($500) and now I use that to push the trailer into place with very precise / easy control + I can see + the car tires don't slip or have trouble with curbs and plenty of power for non-flat driving over the yard. TMI: we did a grass driveway so we can push trailer in over the yard year-around regardless of rain.

Check the instructions I am sure the jockey wheel is supposed to be raised Full weight on the Vallet

Yes. This trailer tongue weight was so light that it didn't get enough traction unless you are on pavement. I kept the wheel down a little - but most of the weight was off. I tried it with a couple different configurations. Also, it did work well on pavement - just not on gravel or grass.

Convinced me not to buy one. It looks way too awkward and fiddly, bad for my back and oh so slow ?

Yeah it’s marginal in a lot of places. I’d like the battery powered one but it’s very expensive and could spin out too!

Try vinyl flooring with rubberized backing. Works perfectly for me. I cut up various lengths to make different pathways as needed. It is also lighter and more nimble to move around than wood. Many people cite that the wood will slide underneath since it is smooth, but the backing to flooring crates the grip.
