Just a highlight reel of my first visit to the Trails at Jakes Rocks. I plan on going again when I'm able to. Altogether the trail system is very well maintained, and is a very fun mountain biking experience for fellow beginner, and advanced mountain bicyclists alike. With the fact that they're very well maintained mentioned, there's just enough gravel and rocks to say that knobby tires aren't a bad idea for the best riding experience.
Since I'm a beginner into mountain bicycling, I would say I'd give this trail system, especially its beginner loop a nod of approval for other beginners. There's features to challenge your skills and ample bypasses to not be unsafe.
A nice trail map of the system is available at this webpage via the link above the map. wccbi.org/trai... It's geolocation enabled and can be imported into Avenza. I was using it on my first non-recorded run to find my way around the trails, and it worked awesome without cell service (which can be found in a select few areas marked by the Avenza map.
