@@choobakasmooth9465 yes. It is. The idea is that one man could practice the taekwondo left side round house from standard position, and then horse stance, and then horse stance left, and then back stance, and then etc. And then he could learn kempkwondo and start in basic and do a left side roundhouse, and then from cat stance, then tiger stance, then crane, then mantis, etc. The idea is that someone who has a single technique they can perform anywhere, at anytime, flawlessly, is much more intimidating than someone who has done every kind of kick there is once. I agree with you, there are not 10,000 kicks. Maybe like 1,000ish if we looked at every martial arts ever and considered every kick different. But it is a metaphor for strength coming from having mastered a motion/technique, and not from general accumulative knowledge. I'm not certain but I think it ties in to the same quote where he says "There are no peaks, only plateaus, and you cannot stay there, you must push beyond them" Martial Arts is a lot of knowing where you are and what you can and can't do. It's about discipline, control in the chaos. It's why people can do BJJ for 15 years and still not have a "black belt" even if they beat black belts at other tournaments/camps. I'm not afraid of the guy who can probably throw a punch from any stance or position. I'm terrified of the man with the 100% chance KO from a simple hook
