I feel for you man, teaching newbies is so stressful especially when you're on the property of a third party without damaging it. It's a shame you can't have him sit on the Moffitt while you operate it he might get more of an insight without all the stress... Great job respect from the UK 🇬🇧👍😎.

Good training! I find it easier to not extend forks out when picking up a load. I have mine all the way in and then I press forward to get underneath the product. Also, if you are starting out operating a Moffett expect to have some product fall off (especially 20 foot flooring boards) accidents will happen, learn from them. Be Patient! Do not let cars or other trucks make you 'rush'

The biggest learning curve when I was learning to drive a piggyback lift was getting use to the directional pedal. These lifts are sketchy as they are don’t know why they decided to reinvent the basic control scheme that every vehicle shares.

Great job, but make sure you guys remember that when there is no load on the forks the mast is forward, and with a load, the mast should be retracted. It is super tippy when you have the mast back and no load on the forks. The center of gravity is too close to the rear wheel with the mast back and no load on the forks.

For a different type of piggyback lift that has mounting hooks on the front that hook onto those brackets when mounting or Unmounting the lift. So instead of having the chains keep the lift on the truck the mounting hooks keep it secured to the truck.

He only needs about 1 year of TRAINING and he may get to know the Machine. Don't worry you can get load off in about one Hours. I use to hate training people that don't want listening to the way they should be trained. That happens in my Tree business when to teach them how to do it and they think there way is quicker but it ain't because it's taking 2 hours longer then they wonder why there now just Brush Draggers and getting payed less. I wish i could send pitcher's over this page because im Handycap and i still out work my younger Crew.
