I've been trying to find ways to up my match performance lately. Several months ago I was solely focused on getting faster overall times (e.g. minimizing shooting positions, shooting on the move, being more aggressive on closer targets, and more aggressive first steps). Although I've progressed quite a bit, I think I can be even faster by not focusing on the physical aspects of the game, but more on the mental computational part of the game. That is, being able to build and recall complex sequences in a short period. There are always a couple times during a match where I'm not decisive with my next move. I realize that's not a physical thing, but purely a mental focus issue. So for the next several weeks/months(?) I plan to make my training significantly more complex so that local matches will feel easier.
