I've always heard hungry goats get out.But happy goats with plenty of food don't.

Not quite. My Grandas had plenty of food such as corn and other grains, we'd make hay for the winter to go with it as well as having an entire mountain side fenced in for them darn near with nothing but some trees grass and wild berry bushes. Black berries are so abundant that they nearly count as a weed in the area. They'd get out specifically to eat the yard grass and my Grandas blue spruce. If it wasn't that they'd eat nothing but green briars most of the time.

Since the collar rests near the torso they can and will fit their head through the fence but once it's there and they feel that shock they won't be able to get thier heads back out. A very long torturous death. I've had to dozens of heads out of fences due to them not being able to get their heads back through.

My grandpa tried that. Didn't work well. If they couldn't go under they'd climb a tree and jump out that way
