I applied to the CAF last month, awaiting my medical and aptitude in Sudbury. I'm 33, a bit older but I felt like I was going to regret it if I didn't apply. This gets me so pumped!
@scumbagsteve5029

it depends on your overall physical health and which trade your going into. If your trying to join the infantry at 33, itsl do-able but again depending on your overall health and physical capabilities. I was in the infantry, 1 RCR and I officially received my release in late 2022 for refusing the jab. So i retired from the infantry at the age of 37, with 2 tours to afghanistan which is not common amongst the ranks. But if your going in to the infantry at 33 like i said, its do-able, but dont expect your career to last very long in this trade. You'll likely have to swap trades or leave before you hit 40

Hey Josh! I have 0 military experience but more recently have been considering joining the CAF. I always assumed for one to film stuff like this , you must have had some previous service or currently serving with them to get to film the fun stuff like this, right? If i joined the CAF , how would one go about requesting to record one of these Ops? I have tons of previous experiences with photo and video / editing and this lines up perfectly with what i think i can offer our country other than being a grunt with a rifle! Much love and respect from Ottawa, Ontario 🤙

As an Infantry Officer, all of this footage was grabbed from my cell phone or Go Pro. If you want to pursue a career dedicated to photo/video capture and editing, then you want to look at being an Image Tech. Also, look into becoming a Public Affairs Officer. When I was applying for the infantry Iast year around this time, I mentioned to the officer that I want to fight for God as God’s soldier, but he said I have to fight for Canada. Yea he’s asking me to put the country first before God which is a great violation of God’s administrative decree that says I should put God first and last, nobody second or third. So I withdraw on my application. I don’t want to take part in that satanic motive. Now, God put the CAF in death spiral and more soldier quitting than applying. This is what he said: “ I need to clarify something. You will not be a soldier of god. You will be a Canadian Soldier. Part of the process you go through to get enrolled is to confirm that you will be able and willing to fight in any government sanctioned war or military operation, and as a military member you must do so regardless of your own personal, political, or religious beliefs. As you are phrasing your answer “A soldier of God” you seem to be trying to put your own beliefs ahead of the commitment to Serve Canada before Self.” Canada before God? Don’t think so warrant officer.

Great video...until 7:29. As a tradition that may seem innocuous, but an appeal to "god" has no place in today's Canadian Forces.
