For those who don't want to spend the extra money on the non-stick selection from Trangia, before you leave home, you can use the Trangia 25 or 27 lid/chopping board as a stencil to cut the perfect size circles out of baking paper that you can make half a dozen of or more and keep under the lid in the pan to stop it from crumpling in your pack.. It not only makes your aluminium pan non-stick, it also saves it from being scratched by your utensils, it also saves you having to take oil along with you...

Watching you scrape out to serve was painful. Suggest you try silicone spatula. Best cooking gadget since non-stick pan, with which it pairs PERFECTLY. Seriously. Silicone rubber spatula is a revelation. We won't use anything else, at home or at camp. You can get them in supermarkets... the smaller size for camp, maybe, although both sizes are useful at home.

I've found the non-stick pan from Trangia to not be very good at the whole 'non-stick' ability. To me, 'non-stick' should mean I can cook bacon or eggs without any oil on the pan whatsoever, just as I can with a cheap non-stick Tefal frying pan, however, I've found that due to the thinness of the material Trangia pans are made from, and the rough coating of teflon they've given it, that unless you use a decent dollop of oil or butter etc, anything you put on the pan will burn and stick to it very quickly, and will melt your nylon spatula or tongs etc (something that never happens with a Tefal). I'd like to see Trangia take a leaf out of JetBoil's book and manufacture a thicker material pan like the JetBoil Skillet. Overall, whilst the non-stick pan is obviously a damn-sight better than the regular raw aluminium pan, it still requires a good scrubbing after even a couple of rashers of bacon or a single egg.
