Yes. Please do. My main 2 questions are: How did you manage fuel for the trip? And how did the CRF's perform?

The John Day area is really cool. This looked like a fun day of riding!

It really was, but we were so tired by the time we got there that we didn't really get to properly enjoy it. I would love to return and explore the area more.

I have watched every one of the videos and thoroughly enjoyed them. I hate to see the trip coming to an end. I’m sure a lot of us would enjoy an overall trip review, bike review, gear review, and anything else you would think would be helpful for others planning their trip. Good luck with the last few miles!

The Oregon grind. That’s what we called the last 3 days. After 27 days anywhere would have been the grind. Oregon really is beautiful. My nephew and I said the same thing that it would be cool to come back for a couple of weeks on smaller bikes and ride the trails.

You two are pretty tough on motel rooms.🤣 It’s all good. That’s cool that theres so much amazing riding in that area you get sensory overload. For you guys to say that you could happily set-up base camp there for a few months says everything- but OMG the Vid shows some sick stuff. It reminds me of how I feel when I have to walk through downtown Boston in the summer and there’s so many CoEds from a gazillion different major colleges that 10’s are bumping into each other in line at Starbucks. “Hey Mister- you look like your gonna pass out- what’s wrong with you”. “I think it’s my heart- go away your not helping”.

Now that you are about done, if you were to do it again, would you schedule more time for the ride so you could slow down and see the sights. I was just thinking, when you went by that balancing rock, it would have been cool to get a pic by it but you guys had to keep pushing. I hope to do this trip with my grandson in about 10 years and want to get it all in perspective to know how much time to allow and how much money to budget. Thanks again sharing your trip with us. Even that can sometimes take away from the trip having to get a video out. Are you guys shipping your bikes home?

More time would definitely be nice, 30 days is really pushing it (especially if you want to go off trail some and explore). On the other hand, 30 days is a long time to me away, so I’m not sure I’d want to stay out much longer. I guess it just depends on your situation and what you want to get out of the trip.

Ya'll looped me in from the very first episode! Thanks for taking us along Billy- Other than the broken clutch cable-the bikes have been bullet proof-that's a Honda. This was the first time I've seen ya'll using fuel out of the Rotopax. We've done the TAT through MS and AR and never needed extra fuel. How handy was having that extra fuel?
@BillyTyo
3 жыл бұрын
We have 3.1 gallon IMS tanks, and we are getting around 50 mpg, so we can comfortably go 140-150 miles on a tank. We only used the extra fuel tank a few times, once in Colorado, once in Utah, and a couple of times in Oregon. Need to make sure you have enough fuel to go 180-200 miles
